It is generally colorless, but often has slight light yellow, light green, light gray, etc. colors, and the streak is white. Glass luster, pearly luster on cleavage surface. Transparent to slightly transparent. The cleavage is very complete and parallel to the bottom surface. Hardness 2-3. Specific gravity: 2.76-3.10. The sheet has elastic and insulating properties.
