We are all familiar with probiotics, right? In today's society, obesity is not just a noun, it has become a disease that plagues the entire society. So some people will use probiotics to help people with a high-fat diet lose weight. Probiotics are a good choice for some obese people. So today I will talk to you about whether probiotics can help people with a high-fat diet. What is its principle? Probiotics can effectively improve obesity caused by a high-fat diet. The mechanism by which probiotics improve metabolic syndrome provides a theoretical basis for clinical intervention with probiotics in people with metabolic syndrome. Three groups of mice eating a high-fat diet were gavaged with a strain of Lactobacillus paracasei, a strain of Lactobacillus rhamnosus and a strain of Bifidobacterium animalis. It was found that these probiotics can improve various symptoms of metabolic syndrome induced by a high-fat diet (obesity, insulin resistance and fatty liver), change the intestinal flora structure of mice, reduce the number of bacteria positively correlated with disease indicators, and increase the number of bacteria negatively correlated with disease indicators, indicating that probiotics may improve the metabolic syndrome induced by a high-fat diet by regulating the flora structure. Among the 15 bacterial groups that are negatively correlated with disease indicators, many are beneficial bacteria that can produce short-chain fatty acids, protect the intestinal barrier or fight inflammation, and the number of 13 types of bacteria is increased by probiotics. Among the 34 bacterial groups that were positively correlated with disease indicators, many were opportunistic pathogens or potentially harmful bacteria with pro-inflammatory effects, and the number of 26 of them was reduced by probiotics. Alterations in these key functional bacteria may mediate the beneficial effects of probiotics on host health. The above three probiotics have strain-specific effects on improving different symptoms of metabolic syndrome, that is, two strains of Lactobacillus probiotics specifically increase the content of acetic acid in the intestine, while one strain of Bifidobacterium specifically reduces the amount of antigens produced by intestinal flora that enter the host circulatory system and the expression of inflammatory factor TNF-α in the liver and adipose tissue. The specificity of probiotics in affecting disease indicators is also reflected in their changes to key functional bacteria in the intestine. For example, the two strains of Lactobacillus increased the number of acetic acid-producing bacteria in the animal intestine, while the animal Bifidobacterium strains specifically increased the Bifidobacterium genus in the intestine that can enhance intestinal barrier function and anti-inflammatory. These results further suggest that regulating the microbiota structure may be one of the mechanisms by which probiotics improve metabolic syndrome. In fact, it is not inevitable that people who eat a high-fat diet will become obese. They should pay more attention to exercise and eat more vegetables and fruits. They should not always eat high-fat products. When the fat on our body grows without limit, it is the time to regret. Therefore, only by changing our bad habits can we lose weight. |
