How to deal with mosquito bites

Every summer we are bitten by mosquitoes without exception. After being bitten by mosquitoes, the skin will not only become very itchy, but it is also very easy for various diseases to be spread through the blood. Many friends with sensitive skin will get red bumps after being bitten. If they can't help scratching them, they will inevitably get a few bloody marks. So how should we deal with mosquito bites?

Apply soap to relieve itching. When mosquitoes bite, an organic acid, formic acid, is secreted from their mouthparts. This substance can cause muscle soreness and itching. Soap contains sodium salts of higher fatty acids. The sodium salts of these fatty acids become alkaline after hydrolysis and can quickly eliminate pain and itching.

Applying a small amount of edible alkaline flour water can also quickly relieve itching.

Use laundry detergent to relieve itching. Rinse the bitten area with clean water, do not wipe it dry, then use a wet finger to dip a little detergent and apply it to the bitten area. It can immediately stop itching and the redness and swelling will disappear quickly. After the redness and swelling disappear, you can rinse off the detergent with clean water.

Take a small amount of fresh purslane stems and leaves, rub them in your hands to produce water, and then apply them to the affected area. It has the effect of relieving itching and reducing swelling.

Rub sliced garlic repeatedly on the mosquito bite for one minute, which has obvious analgesic, anti-itching and anti-inflammatory effects. Even if the bite has become a large lump or inflamed and ulcerated, you can still rub it with garlic. Generally, the inflammation and swelling can be reduced after 12 hours, and the ulcerated wound can heal after 24 hours. People with skin allergies should use it with caution.

Chloramphenicol eye drops relieve itching. After being bitten by mosquitoes, you can immediately apply 1 to 2 drops of chloramphenicol eye drops to relieve pain and itching. Since chloramphenicol eye drops have anti-inflammatory effects, they can also be used to reduce inflammation in people who have suffered mild infections or inflammation due to scratching caused by mosquito bites.

The above briefly introduces several methods to relieve itching after being bitten by mosquitoes. You can refer to them appropriately according to your own situation. Here is a friendly reminder that although it is itchy after being bitten by mosquitoes, you should try to restrain yourself from scratching. You can use some of the above methods to relieve the itching.
