What should I do if I have a severe attack of bronchial asthma?

Coughing with sputum accompanied by buzzing, difficulty breathing, adhesion of the diaphragm, and chest tightness are mostly caused by bronchial asthma. The cause of this disease is one aspect caused by personal factors, and the other aspect is caused by genetic factors. Therefore, when treating this disease, you should not be blind. You should keep the room clean, open windows for ventilation, and dry your bedding frequently.

[Prescription 1]

Take one third of ginger and two thirds of taro, peel them (do not touch water), grind them into a paste, add the same amount of flour as ginger, make the paste thick, stir evenly, and before going to bed, spread the ginger-taro paste on a long cloth, or make it into a bag and stick it on your chest while sleeping. Remove it the next morning. Do this for seven days in a row and the problem will be eradicated.

[Prescription 2]

Chop one or two liang of ginger into small pieces, mash it and squeeze out the juice, add three qian of white mustard seeds, add liquor and grind into a paste. Wrap a cotton ball in gauze and dip it in the paste, and wipe the three acupoints of Feishu, Dazhui and Tanzhong. Rub each acupoint for ten minutes until you feel a local burning sensation. Or use two layers of gauze, cut into chess piece size, dip the medicine in it and apply it to these three acupoints for about an hour. Remove it when it hurts, and stop when blisters do not appear.

[Prescription 3]

For acute bronchial asthma, take a bowl of tofu, two taels of maltose, and half a glass of raw radish juice, mix them and boil them once, then take twice a day. This method is effective in treating salty asthma and phlegm-fire asthma.

[Prescription 4]

Fry three to four grams of ginkgo nuts (peel them), add water and cook until done, add a little sugar or honey, and eat with the soup.

[Prescription 5]

4 qian of Elaeagnus leaves, 3 qian of Perilla seeds, and 7 ginkgo nuts, decocted in water together, and taken warm twice a day.

[Prescription 6]

Chop a northern melon (peach pumpkin) into pieces, add an equal amount of maltose (i.e. maltose), add a little water, and put it in a ceramic pot. Cook until it is very soft. Remove the residue and boil the juice again. After it is concentrated, add ginger juice (add two taels of ginger juice to about one pound of melon juice). Take one spoonful (about five cents) a day, two to three times a day, and drink it with boiled water.

[Prescription 7]

For tracheitis and asthma, use two to four chicken gallbladders (one for children), dry the bile, mix it with sugar, and take it twice a day. Take it for five days as a course of treatment. This method can also treat asthma caused by whooping cough.

Bronchial asthma is not easy to cure and it often recurs. What we need to do is to maintain an optimistic attitude and actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment. In addition, avoiding respiratory infections, doing some aerobic activities, eating more light foods, etc. can effectively relieve the symptoms of bronchial asthma such as wheezing, chest tightness, and cough.
