What is the cause of vertigo

Many people have experienced the symptoms of vertigo, but there are many diseases that cause vertigo, and the causes of vertigo caused by different diseases are not the same. Therefore, when we face vertigo, we cannot rush to treat it blindly. Instead, we must understand the cause of vertigo in detail so that we can find the correct method to treat it. So what are the causes of vertigo? Now let me tell you what are the common causes of vertigo.

1. Hypertension: Dizziness caused by hypertension is mostly caused by fluctuations in blood pressure due to factors such as emotional changes, mental tension or mental stimulation. Some people also abuse antihypertensive drugs, which causes a sudden and drastic drop in blood pressure and dizziness.

2. Hypotension: Dizziness caused by hypotension is also very common, especially in young people, and it is prone to recurring. Postural hypotension dizziness is more common in middle-aged and elderly people. They suddenly feel dizzy when standing up or getting up, and the dizziness disappears immediately. They feel dizzy again when doing the same action again.

3. Atherosclerosis: Atherosclerosis causes cerebral thrombus attachment and can induce cerebral ischemia. If this cerebral ischemia comes from the internal carotid artery, floating vertigo and black spots may occur.

4. Brain tumor: Rotational vertigo is prone to occur when it occurs in the cerebellum and brainstem of the central vestibular system. The vertigo caused by brain tumors is due to increased intracranial pressure on the one hand and blood circulation disorders caused by the compression of the brain tumor on the other hand, which directly or indirectly damages the vestibular nerve nucleus and its pathways and causes vertigo.

5. Cerebral thrombosis: Mild cerebral thrombosis can cause dizziness. This is because after arteriosclerosis causes stenosis of the intimal lesions of the arterial lumen, the distal part can still automatically adjust to reduce vascular resistance and establish collateral circulation to maintain "normal" blood flow, temporarily preventing cerebral thrombosis. However, patients may still experience dizziness or vertigo. Symptoms such as numbness or weakness on one side of the limbs.

6. Anemia: Anemia can easily cause cerebral hypoxia and dizziness. Dizziness is particularly obvious in pernicious anemia. Patients may suffer organic changes in the nervous system due to hypoxia of the central nervous system. As a result, the patient may lose their sense of movement or position and vibration in the lower limbs, and their vertigo may worsen.

The above are the causes of vertigo. After knowing the causes of vertigo, we can take measures to treat it early. In addition, lack of sleep and spinal injuries may also lead to vertigo, so we must ensure adequate sleep and pay attention to our own safety in daily life.
