I believe that many people do not know what cellulitis is. It is an inflammation of the skin and subcutaneous tissue caused by pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus, hemolytic Streptococcus or saprophytic bacteria. Patients with cellulitis will feel local pain, and in severe cases, diseases such as lymphadenitis may occur. So how do we treat cellulitis? Now let me tell you how to treat cellulitis. 1. Drug application: In the early stage when there is no local fluctuation, you can use 50% magnesium sulfate for local hot and wet compress, or use Jinhuangsan for external application. 2. Physical therapy: Early application of ultraviolet rays and infrared rays can promote the limitation of abscesses and reduce inflammation. After the pus is discharged, you can choose diathermy methods such as ultrashort waves and microwaves to promote local blood circulation, growth of granulation tissue, and accelerate wound healing. 3. Incision and drainage: Once an abscess is formed, incision and drainage should be performed. For cellulitis at the floor of the mouth and under the jaw, if short-term active anti-infection treatment is ineffective, incision and decompression should be performed as soon as possible to prevent laryngeal edema from compressing the trachea and causing suffocation. Cellulitis of the fingers should also be treated with early incision and decompression to prevent necrosis of the phalanges. For crepitus cellulitis, wide incision and drainage should be performed, necrotic tissue should be removed, and the wound should be rinsed with 3% hydrogen peroxide solution. If there is a large amount of necrosis in the subcutaneous tissue, skin grafting can be performed to promote healing after the necrotic tissue falls off. 4. Anti-shock treatment: Patients with septic shock should be given active fluid replacement and volume expansion, improve microcirculation status and corresponding symptomatic treatment, and pay close attention to the patient's urine volume, blood pressure, heart rate and peripheral circulation. Intravenous infusion of dopamine is effective for patients with hypotension. The concentration of glucose solution should be limited during fluid replacement to avoid masking the oliguria symptoms due to the osmotic diuretic effect, creating the false impression of adequate fluid replacement. 5. Application of antibiotics: Antibiotics are one of the most important measures for treating cellulitis. The principle of use is to select targeted sensitive drugs based on the results of bacterial culture and drug sensitivity tests. Before the drug sensitivity results come out, relatively targeted broad-spectrum antibiotics can be selected based on the pus smear examination. So don’t think that skin diseases are not a big problem and will heal on their own quickly without treatment. This view is wrong. No matter what the disease is, we should treat it early instead of ignoring it. For example, cellulitis, if not treated, will endanger our health. |
