Can genital warts be cured?

1. Drug treatment. Drug treatment can control the symptoms of genital warts, but the disadvantage is that there is currently no specific medicine. Most of the drugs used are antiviral drugs such as interferon, podophyllotoxin, and Chinese medicine washes.

2. Cryotherapy. Cryosurgery has a wide range of applications. Commonly used methods include liquid nitrogen or carbon dioxide dry ice freezing. It is a relatively old treatment method. Causes wart tissue (i.e. local skin lesions) to necrotize. Genital warts are caused by infection with the genital warts virus, leading to benign proliferation of the skin and mucous membranes. It has a large number of small blood vessels that proliferate rapidly. The freezing method can be used to freeze the inside of genital warts, causing severe local edema of the tissue, thereby destroying the warts. The cure rate is about 70%, but the recurrence rate is high. There will be local redness, swelling, pain and blistering reactions during the treatment. It can be used by spraying or direct contact, and is suitable for flat and smaller warts. Generally freeze it once a week, for 2 to 3 times in a row. The recurrence rate is high.

3. Electrocautery treatment. Electrocautery was a treatment method commonly used by doctors in the past. Electrocautery is relatively simple and effective quickly, but it causes great damage and has a high recurrence rate. High-frequency electric knife can directly remove and dry warts, and the treatment is more thorough, but the electric cauterization will cause the sore surface to heal more slowly. In summary, electrocautery therapy can be used to treat any genital warts, but it requires high technical skills from the operator, and excessive or insufficient cautery can be harmful. At the same time, pay attention to aseptic operation to prevent infection. High-frequency electric knife or electric needle causes less damage to the cervix.

This disease is curable, and patients do not need to worry too much. However, this disease is a stubborn one, so it is more prone to relapse, and it is also very difficult to cure. However, patients should not give up treatment. As long as the treatment is carried out reasonably, they will be able to control their condition well.
