Are teeth inherited?

Some parents who don't have very good teeth will pay special attention to whether their children's teeth will be affected by genetic factors when they are pregnant. Because a healthy and neat set of teeth is very important for a child's growth, and many children will have a series of dental problems during their growth process. In fact, the quality of children's teeth is affected by many factors. The following are some common factors that affect the quality of children's teeth.

1. The quality of tooth texture is related to the mother's health and nutritional intake during pregnancy. If the mother catches a cold or is malnourished during pregnancy, it may affect the child's tooth texture.

2. If the child’s physical condition is not good, it will also affect the quality of his teeth.

3. Whether or not tooth decay occurs is closely related to saliva. Saliva has the ability to neutralize acid and has bactericidal and inhibitory effects. If the caregiver himself has a lot of oral bacteria, or has a lot of untreated cavities in the mouth, it is easy to transmit bacteria to the child through feeding, kissing the child, etc. It is worth noting that when a child has not grown teeth, even if bacteria enter his or her mouth, they cannot survive. But after the teeth grow, you need to be especially careful not to pass your rotten teeth to your baby.

4. If there is a problem with the child’s deciduous teeth, timely treatment is also required.

Each deciduous tooth will guide the permanent tooth to grow to the correct position. If a deciduous tooth is damaged due to tooth decay, the back teeth will gradually move closer to the defect, leaving insufficient space for the permanent tooth to grow in the future. Not only that, there will be permanent teeth under the deciduous teeth. If the deciduous teeth are inflamed or suppurated, they will affect the developing permanent teeth, causing an uneven tooth surface or decalcification. If not treated quickly, severe inflammation will lead to cellulitis.

In addition, parents also need to pay special attention during the period when children are replacing their teeth. If the child's teeth become loose, they need to be removed in time to avoid affecting the growth of the subsequent teeth. In daily life, we also need to protect children's teeth to prevent them from getting cavities. If cavities occur, they need to be filled in time.
