Some people may have some questions. They brush their teeth every morning and evening, but the dentist always says that their teeth are not cleaned thoroughly and they often have caries or other oral problems. In fact, although we brush our teeth every day, due to incorrect brushing methods, our teeth cannot be cleaned thoroughly, which will lead to the occurrence of dental diseases. So, how to brush your teeth correctly? 1. Brush the gum margin of the neck (1) Hold the brush handle and place the brush head on the neck of the tooth, with the bristles at a 45° angle to the long axis of the tooth and the bristles pointing toward the root of the tooth (upward for maxillary teeth and downward for mandibular teeth). Apply slight pressure so that part of the bristles enters the gingival sulcus and part of the bristles is placed on the gingival margin. (2) Group 2 to 3 teeth together and vibrate the toothbrush horizontally at a short distance (about 2 mm) 4 to 6 times. Then rotate the toothbrush toward the crown of the tooth and brush the lips, tongue (palate) surface. Be careful to be gentle with your movements. (3) Move the toothbrush to the position of the next group of 2 to 3 teeth and reposition it, making sure there are 1 to 2 teeth overlapping. (4) When brushing the lingual (palatal) surface of the upper front teeth, place the brush head vertically on the tooth surface so that the front bristles touch the gingival margin or enter the gingival sulcus, and brush from top to bottom with a lifting and pulling motion. Do not brush back and forth. When brushing the lingual surface of the lower front teeth, brush from bottom to top. 2. Brush cheeks, tongue (palate) Use the flicking method, and keep the brushing action continuous between steps (2) and (3). Brush every part of the labial and lingual (palate) surfaces of the upper and lower dental arches in sequence without missing any. 3. Brush the occlusal surface Hold the brush handle with the bristles pointing toward the occlusal surface, and brush back and forth with a little force, making sure to brush the upper, lower, left and right areas. As the saying goes: "Toothache is not a disease, but it can kill people", which shows how much pain toothache brings to people. In order to prevent or reduce the occurrence of this situation, we should not only brush our teeth every morning and evening, rinse our mouths after meals, but also pay attention to the correct method of brushing teeth, so as to remove the residue in the teeth and reduce the occurrence of caries. |
