Although calluses caused by excessive force when writing or writing too hard for too long will not affect human health, they will have a certain impact on children's pen grip. Therefore, calluses must be removed in time after they appear. Specific removal methods include: rubbing your hands with lemon, medical methods, using ointments or medicines, using pumice stones to remove calluses, using exfoliants, etc. 1. Rub your hands with lemon When taking a bath or soaking your hands and feet in warm water, use lemon as a brush and rub vigorously the calloused areas on your hands and feet. Due to frequent activities, the skin in these parts is easily keratinized and becomes hard and thick skin. If the skin is too thick, rub it with pumice stone first and then with lemon. Brewed lemon tea or used broken lemon slices wrapped in gauze can also be used as a brush. After washing, the cuticle softens quickly, the black skin and stratum corneum fall off, revealing the original white color. 2. Medical methods Calluses on the hands are medically called calluses. Sometimes it is related to the way of working, and frequent friction can easily cause calluses. Medically, some keratolytic agents such as 5%-10% salicylic acid ointment, or even 30% salicylic acid collodion can be used, which will be of some help to calluses. 3. Use ointment or medicine Soak your hands with calluses in warm water, apply ointment or medicine prescribed by a doctor, and wrap them with gauze overnight. The medicine contains ingredients that can soften the stratum corneum of the soles of the feet. After the calluses soften, use a knife to gently scrape off the dead skin, and then apply deep moisturizing hand cream. After a while, the calluses will completely disappear. 4. Use a pumice stone to remove calluses You can also use pumice stone to remove it. Remember to give your hands special exfoliating care once a week. Use a small amount of scrub to massage and remove dead skin on your wrists, then soak them in warm water with olive oil for 5 minutes, finally dry them and apply hand cream. 5. Use exfoliants You can buy exfoliants. I have used many brands. In fact, there is no need to spend hundreds of dollars to buy big brands. Just buy regular brands with a price range of 30 to 50. Apply exfoliant to the calloused area, rub it with your index finger to remove it, and be sure to rinse it with clean water afterwards. If the callus is stubborn, it is not recommended to remove it all at once. It can be divided into 2 to 3 weeks, no more than 2 times a week. After removing, apply moisturizer (ordinary hand cream is not very effective), and be sure to wear rubber gloves when doing housework. I feel that wearing rubber gloves after applying moisturizer can also soften the cuticle, which is good for tender hands. |
