How to treat bile reflux gastritis detected by gastroscopy

With the continuous improvement of medical equipment, gastroscopy has appeared. With the existence of gastroscopy, the examination of bile reflux gastritis is no longer a problem. Perhaps it is because the digestive substances in the bile are too "naughty" and do not like to stay at home, so they enter the stomach. These substances are not suitable for existing in the stomach, so they begin to cause damage, leading to the occurrence of many types of gastritis. Now that we know the cause, how do we treat it?

1. "Closed-door method"

At the junction of the stomach and duodenum, there is an inner ring of circular muscle, medically known as the "pyloric sphincter". Normally it is tightly closed, preventing the fluid in the duodenum (including bile) from flowing back into the stomach. It only opens when the food in the stomach has been completely digested, allowing the chyme to enter the intestine for further digestion. If for various reasons the pyloric sphincter pressure drops and does not close tightly, or if reverse peristalsis occurs in the duodenum, the "bad guys" will be able to take advantage of the opportunity to enter. Certain drugs can close the pyloric sphincter by strengthening the regulation of neuromuscular function. When the sphincter is tightly closed, reflux can naturally be reduced.

ii. "Expulsion Law"

Once bile and other substances enter the stomach, if the gastric peristalsis can be strengthened, these "uninvited guests" will be driven out of the "gate" before they have a chance to come into contact with the gastric mucosa, and naturally they will not damage the gastric mucosa. If the forward peristalsis of the duodenum is strengthened and its pathological reverse peristalsis is reduced, it will also be beneficial to the treatment of bile reflux gastritis. The commonly used medicines introduced above have such functions.

3. "Incorporation Law"

Once the bile has entered the stomach, you can also find ways to deal with it in the stomach and "contract it on the spot." The flaky structure of Smecta, like a wafer biscuit with a sandwich, has a large adsorption capacity, thereby absorbing bile salts and eliminating toxic hemolytic lecithin (one of the "culprits" causing gastritis).

If you cooperate with the treatment of the above three methods, you will definitely see the effect. The reason why some bile reflux gastritis occurs is because certain diseases have occurred in this area before. We can only see results by treating these diseases. After developing gastritis, everyone must "take care" of their stomach.
