Health Tips

Coughs are divided into wind-cold coughs and wind-heat coughs. Different types of coughs require completely different medications, so the dietary therapy methods are also different.

Wind-heat cough: Yellow or red tongue coating indicates severe internal heat. If the phlegm is yellow, thick, and difficult to cough up, and there is sore throat, you should eat some foods that clear the lungs, reduce phlegm and relieve cough, such as winter melon, loofah, and lotus root.

Cough caused by wind and cold: White tongue coating indicates severe cold. The phlegm is thin, white and sticky, and there is nasal congestion and runny nose. At this time, you should eat some warm, expectorant and cough-relieving foods, such as ginger, garlic, leeks, oranges, etc.
