Beware of four minor illnesses that play ambiguity with cancer

Beware of four minor illnesses that play ambiguity with cancer

Cancer is like the devil, people don't want to have anything to do with it. Some people even worry that they are being attacked by some kind of cancer when they feel a little unwell. Although this may sound a bit alarmist, some common diseases do have an inextricable link with cancer.

1. Hepatitis

Primary liver cancer is one of the common malignant tumors in humans. Data shows that there are 500,000 to 1 million new cases each year worldwide. More than half of the cases are in China, and there is a clear relationship between hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection and the occurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma.

Early antiviral treatment of chronic hepatitis and prevention of cirrhosis are very important, which can reduce the incidence of cirrhosis and liver cancer. The prevention measures for hepatitis B mainly include preventing mother-to-child transmission, blood transmission and vaccinating with hepatitis B vaccine. There is currently no vaccine for hepatitis C, so it is necessary to prevent mother-to-child transmission, preventive injections, blood transfusions, surgical contamination, and sexual transmission.

2. Chronic ulcerative diseases

Oral ulcers and gastric ulcers are very common, and many people often do not take these "minor illnesses" seriously. However, chronic ulcers may turn into cancer if they persist for a long time.

Oral ulcers generally heal in 7-10 days with proper treatment. However, if the same ulcer does not heal after several weeks or even months, you should suspect oral cancer and see a doctor in the hospital. The same is true for gastric ulcers. Many recurrent chronic gastric ulcers have turned into cancer.

3. Diabetes

Studies have shown that the incidence of cancer in diabetic patients is higher than that in non-diabetic patients. The cancers include endometrial cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, etc. This is related to the high incidence of obesity among diabetic patients and also to high blood sugar.

4. Human papillomavirus (HPV)

The occurrence of cervical cancer is mostly related to human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, which is often transmitted through sexual behavior. Therefore, try to minimize premarital sex and unsafe sexual practices in extramarital affairs. Using condoms is an important measure to protect women from viral infection.
