The elderly, children and those with poor physical fitness find it difficult to adapt and are prone to catching colds and fevers. At this time, you should be careful not to catch a cold at night, use air conditioners and electric fans as little as possible, and pay attention to changes in temperature to prevent the disease from "taking revenge later."

1. Prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases

When the temperature rises above 32℃, on the one hand, a large amount of sweat evaporates from the human body to dissipate heat and reduce the heat, and its metabolism is completed through subcutaneous blood circulation with a blood flow rate several times higher than usual. This abnormal blood circulation can cause vasospasm and high blood pressure due to emotional instability; loss of body fluids increases blood viscosity; and blood vessels dilate to dissipate heat, inducing bleeding.

On the other hand, the limited blood in the human body will rush to the skin in a short period of time, which will inevitably cause a sudden decrease in blood flow to the brain. It is also easy to induce myocardial infarction and stroke for the elderly with poor cardiovascular regulation function and cerebral arteriosclerosis.

2. Prevent heat and cold

After the beginning of autumn, the temperature difference is large, hot at noon and cool in the morning and evening. The body's immunity and disease resistance decline, and once it catches a cold, it is easy to have nasal congestion, runny nose, itchy nose, sneezing, and fever, commonly known as heat cold.

Heat colds are characterized by severe fever and mild aversion to cold. Generally, patients do not feel cold, but only have fever and sweat a lot, but the fever does not subside.

3. Prevent heat stroke

When people work or engage in activities for a certain period of time in a high temperature environment (generally refers to room temperature over 35°C) or under the scorching sun, without adequate heat prevention and cooling measures, the heat accumulated in the body cannot be dissipated, resulting in temperature regulation disorders. For example, excessive sweating will cause the body to lose a lot of water and salt, which can easily cause heatstroke.

Sometimes, even though the temperature does not reach high temperatures, heat stroke may still occur due to high humidity and poor ventilation. Old age, physical weakness, fatigue, obesity, drinking, hunger, dehydration, desalination, wearing tight and airtight clothing, as well as fever, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, etc. are often high-risk factors for heatstroke.

4. Prevent refrigerator enteritis

Due to the hot climate, many people like to eat food from the refrigerator. When you eat it, it seems to cool your heart, make your whole body comfortable and pleasant. But the good times don't last long. Symptoms of Yersinia poisoning often appear within a few hours, commonly known as "refrigerator enteritis."

The clinical manifestations are: dull abdominal pain, chills, fever, general fatigue, nausea and vomiting, aversion to oil, poor appetite and mild to moderate diarrhea. Severe cases can lead to toxic intestinal paralysis.

5. Prevent potassium deficiency-induced flaccid paralysis

When the climate is hot, the human body sweats a lot, and a large amount of potassium ions are lost through sweat excretion. At the same time, the human body's metabolism speeds up in a hot environment, and potassium in the plasma is easily transferred into cells, resulting in hypokalemia.

The most prominent manifestations of this disease are: soreness and weakness in the limbs, varying degrees of relaxation and flaccid paralysis of the neuromuscular system, especially in the lower limbs, weakened muscle tone, and decreased tendon reflexes.

When the condition is serious, it may be accompanied by dysfunction of the cardiovascular system, such as chest tightness, palpitations, abdominal distension, nausea, and even respiratory muscle paralysis, difficulty breathing and serious arrhythmia.

6. Prevent Japanese encephalitis

Epidemic encephalitis Japanese, abbreviated as JE, is an acute viral infectious disease transmitted by mosquito bites. July, August and September are the epidemic seasons of Japanese encephalitis. When mosquitoes carrying the Japanese encephalitis virus bite people, they insert the virus into the human body. The virus enters the human body and causes inflammation of the brain tissue.

It is more common in children under 10 years old. The onset is rapid, with fever, headache, nausea, and vomiting at the beginning.
