Glycated hemoglobin 8

Glycated hemoglobin 8

In fact, physical examinations are crucial for everyone now. If there are problems in the physical examination, you can get some treatment in the first time and no serious situation will occur. So if people find that the glycated hemoglobin is not normal after the test, they should conduct further examinations. Only in this way can the cause of the test results be clarified and treatment can be carried out.

1. Normal value

HbA1c is measured by affinity chromatography or high performance liquid chromatography, and the normal value is 4% to 6%.

2. Influencing factors

(1) The reference value increases with age.

(2) Specimens with hyperlipidemia may cause the results to be biased high.

(3) Laboratory temperature, reagent ionic strength, and pH may have a certain impact on the measurement results.

1. HbAlc is not affected by daily blood sugar fluctuations, nor is it affected by exercise or food.

2. For patients with hemoglobin abnormalities, the test results of glycosylated hemoglobin are unreliable and fasting and postprandial blood sugar should be used as the basis.

3. The normal value of glycated hemoglobin is 4% to 6%. In the early stage of treatment, monitoring should be done once every 3 months, and once the target is met, monitoring can be done once every 6 months.

Glycated hemoglobin is the gold standard for measuring blood sugar control and an important means of diagnosing and managing diabetes. In the treatment of diabetes, the level of glycosylated hemoglobin has important clinical significance in evaluating overall blood sugar control, discovering problems in treatment, and guiding treatment plans.

1. Glycated hemoglobin is an indicator of the overall blood sugar control in diabetic patients.

2. If the glycated hemoglobin is >9%, it means that the patient has persistent hyperglycemia, which may lead to complications such as diabetic nephropathy, arteriosclerosis, and cataracts. It is also a high-risk factor for death from myocardial infarction and stroke.

3. The detection of glycosylated hemoglobin can be used to guide the adjustment of treatment plan.

4. Glycated hemoglobin is of certain significance in judging the different stages of diabetes.

5. Blood sugar increases under stress conditions such as cerebrovascular emergencies, but glycosylated hemoglobin does not increase. It is not enough to just measure blood sugar for gestational diabetes. It is more meaningful to control glycosylated hemoglobin to avoid macrosomia, stillbirth, malformation, and preeclampsia.
