How to grow dragon fruit

Dragon fruit is a very common fruit in our daily life. It contains rare nutrients albumin and anthocyanin, and is very popular among people. Dragon fruit contains very little sugar and is a favorite fruit for girls who want their daughters to gain weight. There are many black sesame-like seeds in the flesh of pitaya, which is also one of the edible nutrients and makes pitaya taste more delicious.

The appearance of pitaya looks pink. When choosing pitaya, be sure to choose the one with a darker color, as it will taste better. Children can eat more dragon fruit, which contains less sugar, will not harm children's teeth, and is nutritious. So how can you grow dragon fruit at home? Let’s take a look.

How to plant dragon fruit:

1. Cut the dragon fruit into two halves, mash a piece of the flesh and put it into a pair of stockings and rub it gently while rinsing with water until the flesh and seeds are separated. Thoroughly clean the black seeds, then pour the black sesame-like seeds on a napkin to dry and set aside. (If you are trying to grow them, you can directly pick a few dozen with a toothpick, wash them and dry them).

2. Clean and dry the seeds.

3. Find a suitable pot without holes, a small bowl will do, add nutrient soil (or culture soil, gardening soil) about 90% full, spray some water on the soil (use a spray bottle, don't water directly) to make the soil surface moist, then sprinkle the seeds evenly on the nutrient soil, spray some water, and cover the mouth of the pot with insurance film.

4. Lift the protective film and spray some water every other day, and the seedlings will sprout after 2-3 days. The insurance film is no longer needed. The seedlings are green and cute.

5. Let the seedlings grow for a few days in ventilated conditions. When the seedlings are about 15cm long, they can be transplanted.

Dragon fruit prefers a warm and humid environment with temperatures between zero and forty degrees Celsius. It is best to choose neutral or slightly acidic soil for planting so that they can grow faster. In fact, growing dragon fruit is a job that requires a lot of carefulness and patience. Everyone likes to eat dragon fruit, but few people actually know how to grow it.
