Be careful! Low blood pressure that cannot be ignored

As a killer of physical health, hypertension has long attracted the attention and vigilance of most people. However, low blood pressure is easily overlooked. Human blood pressure fluctuates throughout the year, and is lower in summer. This is because the weather is hot in summer, the blood vessels on the body surface dilate, the resistance decreases, the blood flow increases, people sweat a lot, and the blood volume decreases. Therefore, blood pressure generally drops by about 12/8 mmHg compared to winter.

Blood experts pointed out: "In recent years, low blood pressure is not only common among the elderly, but has also 'found' more and more young people. Long-term symptoms of low blood pressure will affect normal work and life, leading to low work efficiency in young people, mental disorders such as depression; while the elderly are prone to sudden falls and fractures, or even accidental death. In severe cases, low blood pressure can also induce cerebral infarction and myocardial ischemia." Therefore, low blood pressure, like high blood pressure, cannot be ignored and must be taken seriously.

1. There are three main types of hypotension

1. Postural hypotension:

When the body position changes, such as squatting or standing up, or standing for a long time, you may experience symptoms such as blacking out and dizziness due to insufficient blood supply to the head. This type is more common in elderly people with vascular sclerosis. There are two main reasons for this: first, most elderly people have atherosclerotic lesions, which leads to a decrease in the body's ability to regulate blood pressure; second, some elderly hypertensive patients suffer from improper use of antihypertensive drugs.

2. Physical hypotension:

Hypotension is more common in people with weak constitutions and women. Some people do not have any symptoms, while others may experience long-term dizziness, fatigue, shortness of breath, lack of energy, and easy fatigue. Many white-collar workers rarely do physical exercise due to being too busy at work. Over time, the activity of their blood vessels decreases and the responsiveness of their blood vessels gradually becomes worse. When they suddenly perform movements such as squatting, their blood pressure cannot rise easily and they will feel dizzy.

In addition, some girls go on excessive diets or have an unreasonable diet in order to lose weight, and rarely consume foods rich in fat and protein. If things go on like this for a long time, it will lead to insufficient nutrition supply in the body and produce symptoms of low blood pressure.

3. Transient hypotension:

It is more common in the hot summer. Due to excessive sweating and vasodilation, the blood supply is reduced, which can cause temporary headaches, dizziness, chest tightness and shortness of breath.

2. Patients with long-term hypotension should seek medical attention promptly

1. Strengthen exercise and improve physical fitness.

For people with low blood pressure, young or old people should exercise every day. If they can't tolerate strenuous activities, they can choose some low-intensity exercises, such as walking, running, etc.

2. Eat a balanced diet and improve nutrition.

Patients with low blood pressure should have a reasonable diet in their lives, not be picky eaters or go on a diet, so as to ensure that they take in comprehensive and adequate nutrients. Summer is the peak season for low blood pressure. It is recommended to drink a glass of light salt water in the morning (low blood pressure, like high blood pressure, has sodium properties) to replenish blood volume and prevent blood pressure from dropping.

3. Pay attention to the prevention of orthostatic hypotension.

The elderly should pay special attention to the prevention of orthostatic hypotension. Hypertensive patients must take antihypertensive drugs under the guidance of a doctor and should not change the type and dosage of antihypertensive drugs at will. They should pay attention to the speed of changing body positions, such as not getting up or squatting too quickly.

4. If symptoms are not relieved, seek medical attention as soon as possible.

If someone's symptoms of low blood pressure are not relieved for a long time, they should go to the hospital in time to diagnose the type of low blood pressure, and receive prescription treatment according to the diagnosis of a professional doctor. They can also choose the Chinese medicine "Shengmai San" for conditioning.
