Many people don’t know much about itching of the skin all over the body, and don’t know what to do when it happens. When this problem occurs, it must be treated in time so that the itching problem will not continue to develop.

Itchy skin all over the body:

There are many causes of skin itching, such as neurodermatitis: it often occurs on the back of the neck or its sides, forearms, thighs, calves, etc. It often appears in flakes and is light red or light brown. Severe itching is the main symptom. It may be related to excessive mental stress, excitement and changes in living environment. Local irritation, allergic constitution, frequent consumption of spicy and irritating foods, etc. may also cause neurodermatitis. This results in the disease of itchy skin.

Also when changing seasons. Since temperature changes often cause itching of the skin, patients with winter pruritus and summer pruritus are extremely sensitive to changes in climate. Too hot bedding, sudden heat or cold may cause itching. Senile pruritus: It is mostly caused by factors such as decreased sebaceous gland secretion function, dry skin and degenerative atrophy, and is more common on the trunk.

Systemic skin itching may also be caused by infection of lesions, drugs, diet (alcoholism), food allergies, and parasitic or fungal infections, which can cause systemic or localized itching. Hepatobiliary diseases: Itching caused by liver disease often occurs in cirrhosis, cholelithiasis, and bile duct tumors. Due to bile stasis, the concentration of bile salts in the blood increases, histamine is retained and deposited in the skin, causing itching. For example, in biliary cirrhosis, itching is the earliest symptom.

Through the above introduction, we have some understanding of the causes of skin itching all over the body. After this kind of problem occurs, it is also necessary to observe the whole body carefully to see if there are other problems. Only in this way can we know whether it is caused by a disease. If so, we must treat it in time to control the disease.
