How to defrost a refrigerator

How to defrost a refrigerator

Refrigerators are household appliances commonly used in our daily lives, but the purpose of defrosting is not to prevent food and ice from freezing together in order to better save space. At the same time, it also plays a very good role in the use of refrigerators and prolonging their lifespan. General refrigerators mainly produce some frost. If the frost inside the refrigerator is too thick, it will generate very large heat resistance and affect the efficiency of the refrigerator.

If the frost in the refrigerator increases, the refrigeration capacity will decrease, so the defrosting of the refrigerator in daily life is very critical. Defrosting can extend the service life of the refrigerator and is also very good for keeping food fresh. The main way to defrost the refrigerator is to put the things in the freezer in the refrigerator and then put the refrigerator in for defrosting.

Put the contents of the freezer into the refrigerator, so the best time to defrost the refrigerator is when there are fewer items in the refrigerator.

Unplug the refrigerator. More advanced refrigerators may have a switch on the panel. In this case, shut down the refrigerator politely by turning off the switch first and then unplugging the power.

Leave the refrigerator door open and take out all the drawers. The key to this step is to take out the drawer, and you can take this opportunity to wash the drawer.

Use a wet, soft towel to repeatedly wipe areas with thin frost to wipe off the frost and dry the water in the refrigerator. The purpose of this is to speed up the defrosting process and prevent food from spoiling due to defrosting. If the cream is thick, rubbing it repeatedly will speed up the melting of the cream. Do not use sharp tools to force defrost.

After the frost melts, just wipe it clean with a soft cloth.

Turn on the refrigerator, wait for the temperature to almost reach the set temperature, and then move the food in the refrigerator to the freezer.

The above is how to defrost the refrigerator. The main thing is to take the food out. Defrosting can be done when there is the least food in the refrigerator. Use a wet soft towel to repeatedly wipe the areas with thin frost. Wipe the thick frost several times as well. This will speed up the melting of the frost. During the defrosting process, be sure to unplug the power supply and transfer the food in the refrigerator to the freezer.
