Is centipede poisonous

In our lives, centipedes are a common animal. This animal belongs to the phylum Arthropoda, and naturally has the subphylum Gnathopoda, class Chilopoda, subclass Anaplasma, order Scolopendra, family Scolopendra, etc. However, some people say that this centipede is poisonous. Is the centipede poisonous? Let's take a look at the following knowledge.

Are centipedes poisonous? In fact, the centipedes that are more common in our lives are quite poisonous, but the toxicity of this animal is not very strong, and it will secrete venom in any place it passes through, so you don't need to worry too much. After the centipede venom irritates the skin, centipede dermatitis will occur within a few hours, and the skin will also develop linear erythema and blisters.

The other type is a small insect called silverfish, also known as a woodworm. If you have no impression of the name, you might as well recall whether you have seen such an insect. It is silvery white all over and looks like a hairtail. It is about 8mm long. If you look closely, you will see that its head is thick and its tail is thin, in the shape of a carrot, with two whiskers on the head and three whiskers on the tail. It often looks like a carp lying on its side out of water, with its head and tail swinging up and down on the same side. It eats books, paper, clothes, etc.

Centipedes entering the ear are only a rare case. When a centipede enters the ear, due to the small space in the external auditory canal, it will think it is being caught and sting you. You will feel the pain immediately, so it is impossible for them to lurk in your ear canal. It is better to say that it is poisonous than to say that you have a skin allergy to its secretions. And it's even more impossible for it to drill in because they are born claustrophobic. The further it goes into your ear canal, the narrower it gets. Wouldn't that be the most uncomfortable for it? And if its legs are not fully spread, it will lose its original ability to move. It will not run into your mouth or nasal cavity while you are sleeping. Although it is humid there, the temperature is too high for them. If you see it crawling over you, just chase it away. It will usually run away if you move. As long as you don't squeeze it with your hands, you won't get stung.

Are centipedes poisonous? This animal looks scary, and centipedes are poisonous, but the centipede itself is not very toxic. However, in our daily lives, it is recommended that we do not eat animals like centipedes. Otherwise, serious harm will occur, which is unimaginable.
