Calamine lotion

Calamine lotion

Calamine lotion is a skin topical medicine that has two colors, upper and lower, when at rest. When using, shake it thoroughly and it will turn into a pink suspension. It is mainly used for skin diseases such as urticaria, summer dermatitis, and ultraviolet sunburn. It has the effect of astringing and protecting the skin. This product is mostly used in spring and summer. When applying it, you must be careful not to use it if the skin is damaged. Shake well before use. After applying to the skin, the skin will feel slightly cool due to the evaporation of water and the itching will be relieved. After the medicine dries, a thin layer of light red or grayish white powder will form on the skin, which plays a certain protective role, so be sure not to wipe it off.

Topical medicines that are applied to the skin are relatively well absorbed, but due to different individual constitutions, the relative skin irritation of the medicines is also different. Some patients may experience mild pain after taking the medicine. If the patient's skin is damaged or exuding, it may cause obvious pain. If this happens, apply in small amounts or stop taking the medication. Slight peeling of the skin on the affected area may occur 1 to 2 days after taking the medicine. This is a normal phenomenon and patients do not need to worry.

1 Ingredients: Each 1000 ml contains 150 g of calamine, 50 g of zinc oxide, 50 ml of glycerin, and the auxiliary material is purified water.

2 Properties Calamine sulfur lotion is a light red suspension liquid with a special odor of sulfur, camphor and phenol.

3 Indications: Used for acute pruritic skin diseases such as urticaria and prickly heat. Calamine sulfur lotion has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and astringent effects and is used to treat acute non-exudative skin diseases.

4 Usage and Dosage: For topical use, shake well before use, apply appropriate amount to the affected area, 2-3 times a day.

5 Adverse reactions: Local irritation.

6 Precautions: Do not use if you are allergic to sulfur.

When using calamine lotion, shake it well and avoid contact with mucous membranes such as eyes, mouth, and nose. Before use, rinse the affected area with soap and do not leave any residual soap foam to avoid chemical reaction between soap residue and medicine, which will affect the efficacy of the medicine. When using, it is best to use a cotton swab dipped in the medicine to wipe the affected area. The cotton swab should not be reused to avoid secondary contamination of the medicine.
