Ovarian tumor surgery and causes of ovarian tumors

Ovarian tumor surgery and causes of ovarian tumors

It is generally recommended to go to the hospital's obstetrics and gynecology department 3 to 7 days after the end of menstruation, and complete pre-operative examinations, including blood routine, coagulation, liver and kidney function, and a full set of pre-transfusion tests, as well as routine urine examinations. If there are no abnormalities, surgery can be performed to remove the ovarian cyst. When the ovarian cyst is larger than 5 cm, surgery is required to remove the ovarian cyst. Generally, open or laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery can be considered for removal.

Causes of ovarian tumors

It is closely related to the patient's working environment. For example, eating foods with high cholesterol, or long-term close contact with harmful substances such as radiation and asbestos may also cause ovarian cancer. Ovarian cancer is a disease with a relatively high incidence rate among women in my country. There are many reasons for the formation of this disease. For example, this disease has a direct relationship with family heredity of about 20% to 25%. If there is an ovarian cancer patient in the family, it may cause ovarian cancer to be inherited. Some women who like to smoke may also increase the incidence of ovarian cancer.

Symptoms of benign ovarian tumors

Benign ovarian tumors usually have no symptoms when the tumor diameter is less than five centimeters. They are only discovered during physical examinations. If the tumor gradually grows to more than five centimeters, it will cause symptoms of frequent urination and urgency when it compresses the bladder, and symptoms of diarrhea and constipation when it compresses the rectum. There will also be a feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen, which may gradually worsen or be more obvious during sexual intercourse. If the tumor pedicle is twisted or ruptured, it will cause sudden and severe abdominal pain, accompanied by nausea, vomiting, etc. Once this happens, emergency surgery is required. Ovarian cysts should be checked regularly. If the cyst persists for more than two months or causes symptoms, it needs to be resolved through surgery.
