Symptoms of malignant cervical cancer

Symptoms of malignant cervical cancer

Symptoms of malignant cervical cancer include irregular vaginal bleeding, abnormal leucorrhea, pelvic pain, etc. If you have the above symptoms, you should seek medical attention as soon as possible for examination and diagnosis to avoid missing the best time for treatment. Early detection can significantly improve the treatment effect, and standardized treatment and accurate diagnosis are crucial.

1) Irregular vaginal bleeding

This is the most typical symptom of malignant cervical cancer, especially abnormal bleeding after sexual intercourse, after menopause or during menstruation. The reason is that cervical cancer lesions will destroy the local vascular structure, leading to bleeding. You should seek medical attention in time, confirm the cause through cervical smear screening, colposcopy and other means, and avoid misjudging it as irregular menstruation and delaying treatment.

2) Abnormal leucorrhea

Increased vaginal discharge or bloody or foul-smelling vaginal discharge is a common symptom of cervical cancer. Cancer leads to cervical glandular dysfunction, infection, or shedding of necrotic tissue, which results in these abnormalities. If women find abnormalities in the color, properties, or odor of vaginal discharge, they should undergo a cervical cytology examination and, if necessary, a biopsy to confirm the diagnosis.

3) Pelvic pain or lower limb edema

When cancer spreads to the pelvis or nerve tissue, it can compress the nerves, leading to symptoms such as dull pelvic pain during sitting or activity, and lower limb edema. Lower limb edema may indicate involvement of the lymphatic system or deep invasion of cancer cells, and urgent imaging examinations (such as MRI or CT) are required to assess the extent of the lesion. After further diagnosis, a combination of surgery, radiotherapy, or chemotherapy is usually considered to control the disease.

4) Other possible symptoms

Such as frequent urination, difficulty in defecation, or weight loss and excessive sweating without obvious reasons. These usually occur in the late stage of cancer, indicating that the cancer cells have spread widely and have invaded the urinary, reproductive or digestive systems. For patients with a clear diagnosis, a personalized treatment plan should be quickly developed, including radical cervical resection, synchronous chemoradiotherapy and targeted therapy.

Once symptoms of suspected malignant cervical cancer appear, you need to go to the hospital for a detailed examination immediately. Do not delay or take medication on your own to relieve the symptoms. Early diagnosis and treatment of malignant cervical cancer is the key to reducing negative prognosis. Through standardized treatment and regular follow-up, the patient's survival rate can be increased and the quality of life can be improved. Keep in mind that regular physical examinations and HPV vaccination are effective means of preventing cancer, thereby protecting your own health.
