The first symptoms of skin cancer

What are the first symptoms of skin cancer?

Research shows that skin cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in my country, most of which grow in exposed areas. Since there are no obvious symptoms in the early stages, if it is not treated early, it will cause local tissue erosion. The earlier skin cancer is discovered, the easier it is to cure. If it is discovered later, it will be fatal.

There are three typical symptoms of early skin cancer:

1. Squamous cell carcinoma

It is usually transformed from keratosis, leukoplakia and other precancerous diseases. It grows rapidly and forms ulcers in the early stage. Some are nodular or cauliflower-shaped, with a small penetration depth and a movable base; some are butterfly-shaped, with obvious deep penetration and great destructiveness, often involving bones. Squamous cell carcinoma is often accompanied by purulent infection, foul odor and pain.

2. Basal cell carcinoma

The disease is usually asymptomatic, with the early stage mainly being hard plaque papules, some of which are warty, and then rupture into ulcers, which are irregular, with raised edges, like craters, uneven bottoms, and slow growth. There is little metastasis, with translucent nodules at the edge of the ulcer first, and then gradually expand, which can erode surrounding tissues and organs and become erosive ulcers.

3. Malignant melanoma

This is a highly malignant and rapidly metastatic skin cancer. The prevalence rate in Western countries is very high, and the mortality rate is also very high. Chinese people have more skin pigments, which provide good protection against ultraviolet rays. At the same time, they pay more attention to sun protection in their daily lives. Malignant melanoma is relatively rare in my country. Because melanoma is black, it is easy to find. If you find black spots on your nails, nail beds, soles of your feet, palms, or other parts of your body, which have recently expanded significantly, are prone to rupture, or half of your nails turn black, you should be alert and go to the hospital for examination in time.
