What are the symptoms of skin cancer

What are the symptoms of skin cancer

Skin cancer is a type of malignant tumor that occurs on the skin. The most common skin cancers are divided into three main categories. The first is basal cell carcinoma of the skin. The main symptom is a depressed ulcer on the skin that repeatedly does not heal, and can be diagnosed through biopsy and pathology. There are generally no other symptoms such as pain, but there may be local bleeding. There is also squamous cell carcinoma of the skin, which manifests as a cauliflower-like tumor on the skin. This is also the case when the ulcer lesion repeatedly does not heal. Squamous cell carcinoma of the skin may be accompanied by swollen lymph nodes around it. In this case, in addition to extended resection of the skin cancer tumor, lymph node dissection is also required. There is also malignant melanoma of the skin, which mainly manifests as a black tumor on the skin.

What is the treatment for squamous cell skin cancer?

The main symptoms of skin cancer are non-healing ulcers on the skin and cauliflower-like neoplasms. Squamous cell carcinoma is more malignant and mainly metastasizes to the corresponding lesion area. For the treatment of skin cancer, surgery is the first choice, and lymph nodes in the corresponding area need to be cleared. Subsequent treatment after surgery needs to be determined based on the pathological stage. If it is in the early stage, no treatment is required after surgery. If there is lymph node metastasis, comprehensive radiotherapy and chemotherapy are required after surgery.

Is skin cancer treatable?

Skin cancer is a malignant tumor of the skin. The skin at the site of the disease is prone to bleeding and ulceration. If there is infection, there will be thick fluid, accompanied by foul odor and pain. Whether skin cancer is easy to treat depends on the site of the disease, size, degree of invasion, whether it has metastasized, and physical condition. Commonly used treatment methods include surgical resection, radiotherapy, cryotherapy, laser therapy, local drug corrosion and chemotherapy. If this disease is discovered early and treated in time, the general effect and recovery are good.
