Can malignant cervical cancer be cured?

Cervical cancer is a malignant tumor that originates in the cervix. Malignant cervical cancer generally refers to cervical cancer, which can be cured, but the specific cure depends on the stage of the tumor. This disease can be mainly divided into stage I cervical cancer, stage II cervical cancer, stage III cervical cancer, and stage IV cervical cancer as follows:

1. Stage I cervical cancer

Ⅰ Cervical cancer tumors are small, limited to the cervix, shallow infiltration depth, and short in diameter. As long as patients receive comprehensive surgical treatment in a timely manner, most patients can be cured.

2. Stage II cervical cancer

Ⅱ Cervical cancer tumors exceed the cervix and may involve the uterus and part of the vagina, but have not yet spread to the lower 1/3 of the vagina and the pelvic wall. At this time, surgical treatment can also be performed, including radical hysterectomy, total hysterectomy, etc. Some patients can be cured.

3. Stage III cervical cancer

Ⅲ Cervical cancer tumors have involved the lower 1/3 of the vagina, and patients may have problems such as hydronephrosis and renal dysfunction. If the patient is in good physical condition, surgery can be performed, supplemented with chemotherapy and radiotherapy to improve the prognosis; if the patient's body cannot tolerate surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and other comprehensive treatments can be performed directly; in this case, there is still a certain probability of cure, but even after cure, the recurrence rate is also very high.

4. Stage IV cervical cancer

IV Cervical cancer tumors may involve the bladder, rectum, pelvis and other parts, and some patients may even have remote organ metastasis. At this stage, patients can undergo palliative radiotherapy, chemotherapy or immunotherapy, targeted therapy, etc., but surgical treatment is usually ineffective and the prognosis is poor. At this point, the disease is basically incurable, and the prognosis can only be improved as much as possible.
