Are ground-glass nodules an early sign of lung cancer?

Ground glass nodules may be an early sign of lung cancer, but it cannot be ruled out that they are caused by diseases such as pneumonia and tuberculosis. Patients also need to go to the hospital for further examination to determine the cause and then choose the appropriate treatment.

1. Pneumonia: Ground-glass nodules belong to the concept of imaging. If the degree of alveolar cavity inflation changes after pneumonia infection, ground-glass nodules will also be caused, but the pathological test results are negative. Pneumonia patients need intravenous drip under the guidance of a doctor. The drugs used generally include amoxicillin sodium, ceftriaxone sodium, azithromycin, etc.

2. Pulmonary tuberculosis: Pulmonary tuberculosis is usually caused by infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. After the disease occurs, it will cause fluid exudation in the alveolar cavity, and may be accompanied by inflammatory infiltration and bleeding, which manifests as ground glass changes. Under the guidance of a doctor, you need to take drugs such as isoniazid tablets, rifampicin capsules, and ethambutol hydrochloride capsules.

3. Early signs of lung cancer: Lung cancer can cause organic lesions in the lungs in the early stages, and the shape and structure of lung cells will also change. If the patient also has symptoms such as coughing up blood and chest pain, a pathological test can be performed under the guidance of a doctor to determine whether it is early lung cancer. If the test result is positive, chemotherapy is required under the guidance of a doctor. The drugs used include cisplatin injection, carboplatin injection, fluorouracil injection, etc.

In addition to the common diseases mentioned above, it may also be caused by reasons such as pulmonary edema. You should not take medicine blindly without permission to avoid improper medication and affect your health.
