Blisters turn into calluses

Blisters turn into calluses

Basically everyone has calluses on their hands and feet to a greater or lesser extent, and calluses are a skin phenomenon formed by long-term friction between the skin on the palms and soles of the human body. The areas with calluses will be noticeably harder and rougher than other areas. When the soles of a person's feet are infected by fungi, blisters will develop. If blisters are not treated for a long time, they are likely to form calluses. What is the principle behind this?

Explanation of cocoon

Explanation: When our skin is subjected to excessive friction, it will cause the peeling of the outer epidermis and dermis, forming a certain space in the middle. In order to protect the dermis from damage, our skin will produce a kind of physiological saline solution (what we usually call blisters) to reduce the friction and damage to the dermis, also known as jiǎn (简) zi. That is callus. Refers to localized thickening of the skin on the palms and soles of the feet. The disease can be divided into three categories: foot pads, toe pads, and "boils". Depending on their growth location and shape, foot pads can be divided into crescent pads, wheel pads, rear pads and other types. The toe pad also has many names such as top toe, cover toe, clip toe, and opposite toe. Carbuncles are divided into pad carbuncles and simple dry carbuncles, and they are also called many names, such as top toe carbuncle, cover toe carbuncle, pad carbuncle, snake head carbuncle, etc. For its causes and symptoms, please refer to the callus article. The treatment method is mainly external treatment, and the lifting method and dividing method in pedicure can be used. It can also be combined with external treatment with drugs.

How to get rid of calluses

1. Calluses on the hands are medically called calluses. Sometimes it is related to the way of working, and frequent friction can easily cause calluses. Medically, some keratin peeling agents such as 5%-10% salicylic acid ointment, or even 30% salicylic acid collodion can be used, which will be of some help to calluses.

2. Soak your calloused hands in warm water, apply ointment or medicine prescribed by the doctor, and wrap them with gauze overnight. The medicine contains ingredients that can soften the stratum corneum on the soles of the feet. After the calluses soften, gently scrape off the dead skin with a knife, and then apply deeply moisturizing hand cream. Before long, the calluses will completely disappear.
