What are the early symptoms of lymphoma? Can it be cured if discovered early?

The symptoms of lymphoma are hidden and not easy to detect. If the symptoms of lymphoma can be detected in the early stage, it will be helpful for treatment. So, can the early symptoms of lymphoma be cured?

Because the site and extent of lymphoma cell invasion are different, the clinical manifestations are very inconsistent. The primary site can be in the lymph nodes or outside the lymph nodes. But generally speaking, there are three manifestations:

Early local manifestations of lymphoma: enlarged lymph nodes, characterized by progressive, painless, hard, and proliferative, non-adhesive in the early stage, and fused in the late stage. Anti-inflammatory and anti-tuberculosis treatments are ineffective. Superficial lymph nodes are common in the neck, followed by the axilla and groin. Swollen longitudinal lymph nodes can cause dysphagia by compressing the esophagus; compressing the superior vena cava can cause superior vena cava syndrome; compressing the trachea can cause coughing, chest tightness, dyspnea, and cyanosis.

Lymphatic systemic symptoms: fever, weight loss, night sweats.

Lymphoma may cause extranodal lesions, such as liver and spleen infiltration, abdominal pain, abdominal distension, intestinal obstruction, bleeding, cough, pleural effusion, bone pain, pathological fractures, skin itching, subcutaneous nodules, tonsils, difficulty in swallowing in the mouth, nose and throat, nasal congestion, nasal knots, spinal cord compression, cranial neuropathies, etc.

Once patients have the above symptoms and signs, they should go to the hospital for examination to determine whether they have lymphoma. Early detection still has the possibility of cure. Surgery is the most common treatment for lymphoma. In patients with intranodal lymphoma, surgery is mainly used for biopsy or staging abdominal exploration.
