Can nasopharyngeal cancer patients rest at 11pm?

Nasopharyngeal cancer patients may have dry mouth at night. It is recommended to drink more water, 1500~2000 ml of drinking water per day. A humidifier can be placed in the room to improve the dry air. Usually, attention should be paid to a light diet, and spicy food and irritating food should be avoided. If nasopharyngeal cancer patients have insomnia, they can drink a glass of hot milk before going to bed, or give nerve nutrition drugs or analgesic sedatives for auxiliary treatment.

What are the symptoms of nasopharyngeal cancer?

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma refers to a malignant tumor in the nasopharynx. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma generally causes symptoms such as poor nasal ventilation, runny nose, swollen lymph nodes in the neck, and stuffy ears. Pharyngitis mainly causes symptoms such as itchy throat, dry throat, and foreign body sensation in the throat. The increase of cancer tissue and invasion of the Eustachian tube can cause otitis media, ear pain, tinnitus, and hearing loss. If the pharyngeal opening of the Eustachian tube is compressed, the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the tympanic cavity will increase, which can aggravate the tinnitus symptoms.

Early pain characteristics of nasopharyngeal carcinoma

When the tumor invades the posterior nares and nose, there may be obvious symptoms of nasal congestion. In the early stages of nasopharyngeal cancer, bleeding and pain usually occur, and may lead to airway obstruction and even difficulty swallowing, which can be determined by specific pathological examinations. Pain is not a characteristic of early rhinitis cancer. Migraines may occur when nasopharyngeal cancer invades the skull base. The characteristics of early nasopharyngeal cancer are as follows: nasal symptoms, inhaled blood sputum and nosebleeds may occur in the early stages, which sometimes do not attract the patient's attention. After the tumor enlarges, the nasal cavity is blocked, causing nasal congestion.
