Which department should I go to for teratoma

Teratomas can generally be treated in departments such as pediatrics, oncology, obstetrics and gynecology, andrology, and day chemotherapy.

1. Pediatrics:

Teratoma is a tumor that originates from germ cells. Its formation is mainly related to abnormal differentiation of germ cells and chromosomal abnormalities. If the patient is a child, you should go to the pediatric department of the hospital because this department focuses on the research of pediatric diseases.

2. Oncology:

This disease is a tumor disease, so you can go to the oncology department and undergo B-ultrasound examination, magnetic resonance imaging, CT examination and other related examinations under the guidance of a doctor. You can also undergo tumor marker examination to provide corresponding basis for the diagnosis of the disease.

3. Obstetrics and Gynecology:

The clinical manifestations vary depending on the location of the teratoma. If it is an ovarian teratoma, abdominal pain and bloating will generally occur. As the tumor grows, it will compress nearby organs, causing difficulty urinating and defecating. This is a gynecological disease and should be treated in the obstetrics and gynecology department of a hospital.

4. Men's Health:

Testicular teratoma generally manifests as testicular lumps, swelling and other phenomena, at which time you need to go to the hospital's andrology department for treatment.

5. Day chemotherapy:

The disease can be treated with chemotherapy. Commonly used chemotherapy drugs include cisplatin injection, vincristine sulfate injection, cyclophosphamide injection, etc., and chemotherapy can be performed in the day chemotherapy department.

If you have a teratoma, you also need to calm down and avoid stress, anxiety, and other emotions.
