There are several types of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cases. What should we pay attention to in our diet?

How many types of nasopharyngeal cancer are there? What should we pay attention to in our diet?

1. The general morphology of nasopharyngeal carcinoma is divided into five types: nodular, cauliflower-shaped, submucosal, permeable and ulcerative.

2. As nasopharyngeal cancer patients are affected by the disease, have heavy psychological burden, poor appetite and low resistance, their family members should be guided to encourage them to eat and give them high-protein, high-vitamin, low-fat and easily digestible foods, such as beans, milk, fungi, carrots, etc. At the same time, family members should be guided to create a clean and comfortable eating environment for the patients, pay attention to color and fragrance, provide delicious food for the patients, and provide them with rich nutrition.

3. Eat a balanced diet and eat more vegetables and fruits. The diet during radiotherapy and chemotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma should be easy to digest, fresh and delicious. It is rich in protein, vitamins and amino acids, such as kelp, seaweed, asparagus, jellyfish, etc. It often contains plums, olives, green plums, figs, etc., which can stimulate saliva secretion and relieve dryness symptoms.

4. Patients should not eat: eat less salty, smoked, grilled, and pickled foods; quit smoking and drinking, avoid spicy foods; do not eat foods that are too dry or too rough.

Available fruits include tangerine peel, lily, loquat, American ginseng, yam, lotus seed, astragalus, codonopsis, cordyceps, carrot, water chestnut, white radish, tomato, lotus root, pear, lemon, hawthorn, wolfberry, fig, bitter melon, mushroom, loofah, raw coix seed, adenophora, and ophiopogon japonicus.
