Symptoms and signs of ovarian cancer

Symptoms of ovarian cancer generally include abdominal distension, abdominal pain, and compression symptoms.

Symptoms of Ovarian Cancer:

1. Abdominal distension: As the tumor gradually grows, it will be pulled when it moves in the pelvic cavity due to its own size, weight and posture, causing abdominal distension. The abdominal distension is more obvious in the late stage when there is a lot of ascites.

2. Abdominal pain: When the tumor capsule ruptures or external force causes the tumor to rupture, the cystic fluid enters the peritoneal cavity and stimulates the peritoneal cavity, which can cause severe pain. When the tumor has pedicle torsion, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms may occur.

3. Compression symptoms: If the diaphragm is compressed, breathing difficulties and palpitations may occur. If the pelvic organs are compressed, different symptoms may occur depending on the organ, such as frequent urination, dysuria or urinary retention caused by bladder compression, and dysuria or constipation caused by rectal compression.

Precursors of ovarian cancer:

The early symptoms of ovarian cancer are not obvious, so there is no clear precursor, but it usually affects ovarian function and may show some early manifestations. Common gynecological manifestations are irregular menstruation, decreased menstrual volume, amenorrhea, abnormal leucorrhea, etc. Abnormal vaginal bleeding may also occur after menopause. Ovarian lesions often cause abdominal lesions, such as abdominal distension, back pain and abdominal pain, and decreased appetite.
