It is also best to rest in bed after giving birth, and it is not advisable to get out of bed to move around. This can effectively promote the contraction and recovery of the uterus. In addition, you need to consume some protein-rich foods after delivery to help the body recover faster.

Using gauze to tighten the abdomen is a long process. The recommended daily usage time is generally 6-8 hours, but in order not to affect digestion and absorption and night rest, it is generally not recommended to wear it within half an hour before and after meals, and it should also be taken off before going to bed. If you have a normal birth, you can start using it the next day. Just don't tie it too tightly at the beginning. Wear it step by step and tie it slowly to allow your body to adapt to this process. There are many factors involved in recovery. Don't rely solely on a gauze belly band to lose weight. You also need a regular diet and recovery training.

How to use a belly band correctly

first step

Prepare two pure cotton (preferably white) straps for easy replacement after washing. The length of the restraint belt is 9.5 meters and the width is 14 centimeters. Personally, I think gauze would work too. Because mothers who give birth in the summer will still feel hot if they tie themselves up with layers of cotton cloth. I'm going to give birth at the end of May, so I want to prepare gauze.

Step 2

Prepare before putting on the belly band. You can tie it on the second day after a normal birth or the sixth day after a cesarean section. Lie flat on the bed, take off your underwear, and make sure the belly band is fitted tightly.

It is best to place cushions under your knees and thighs to make it easier to raise your waist. You can use your hands or ask your family to help you gather the loose flesh on both sides to the middle of your belly, and then gather the fat in your lower abdomen upwards. After everything is gathered together, you can ask your family to help hold it down and prepare to tie the belly band.

Step 3

Wrap the belly band around your body, starting from the pubic bone in the front and going to the height of the coccyx in the back. This way, after you put on your underwear, it will not hinder you from going to the bathroom. Start wrapping it, and after one and a half circles (assuming you start wrapping from your left hip, then go around the right hip, wrap it around for a circle, and reach the right hip again, this is one and a half circles), flip the strap over, and then flatten it (the purpose of this is to fix it), the belly belt will not slide around, and we can also use our hands to flip the fat there upwards while flipping the belly belt to prevent it from sagging. Continue winding in sequence, and after another one and a half turns, reverse again. In this way, we need to do a total of six circles in this place, which is four and a half circles, and we need to reverse the abdominal belt four times.

Step 4

After the belly band has been reversed four times on the lower abdomen, it should be tied upwards. It spirals up one centimeter above its original position. At the same time, use your hands to lift up the excess fat until it is tied to the position three fingers horizontally above the belly button, and the belly band is basically used up. Tuck the top and bottom corners of the belly band into the other layers to secure it. Mothers who are worried can also use pins to secure it. But I heard from the teacher that it is generally impossible to tie it up for one day and not move it. If it gets loose, you have to untie it and tie it again.

Step 5

Please note that according to the teacher, you need to wear a belly band 24 hours a day in the first two weeks after delivery, and only need to wear it during the day in the last two weeks after delivery. You don’t need to tie it after the confinement period.
