Early symptoms and precursors of lung cancer

Early symptoms and precursors of lung cancer

The early symptoms and signs of lung cancer are often hidden, but there are still some manifestations that deserve attention, including coughing, hemoptysis or blood in sputum, chest pain, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, hoarseness, etc. If you have any discomfort, it is recommended to seek medical attention in time and take appropriate measures under the guidance of a doctor. The details are as follows:

1. Cough: Long-term, persistent dry cough, especially cough without obvious cause, may be an early sign of lung cancer. First of all, the cause must be identified. If lung cancer is confirmed, surgery may be performed to remove the tumor in the early stage, combined with comprehensive treatment such as radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

2. Hemoptysis or blood in sputum: Sputum with blood or a small amount of fresh blood when coughing. Surgery, radiotherapy, targeted therapy or immunotherapy can be selected according to the stage of lung cancer and physical condition.

3. Chest pain: intermittent dull pain or pain in the chest. After diagnosis, treatment options include surgery to remove the tumor, chemotherapy to eliminate cancer cells, and radiotherapy to control tumor growth.

4. Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing: Feeling of difficulty breathing, which worsens after activity. Early stage lung cancer can be treated with surgery to remove the lesion, improve respiratory function, and at the same time, with drug treatment to relieve symptoms.

5. Hoarseness: The voice becomes hoarse for unknown reasons. Comprehensive treatment is carried out for lung cancer to relieve the compression of the tumor on the recurrent laryngeal nerve.

The early symptoms of lung cancer may be atypical and easy to be ignored. When the above symptoms appear, you should seek medical attention in time for a comprehensive examination and diagnosis. Early detection and early treatment are crucial to improving the cure rate and survival rate of lung cancer.
