Can cervical cancer be cured?

Early lesions of cervical cancer malignancies may be cured; mid- to late-stage lesions are generally unlikely to be cured, but active treatment can generally slow the progression of the disease.

1. Cervical cancer refers to a malignant tumor that occurs in the cervix, which may be related to human papillomavirus infection. In the early stages of the disease, the lesion is relatively limited and the degree of infiltration is relatively shallow. After timely surgical resection, the condition may be effectively improved and the possibility of cure is relatively high. Therefore, early cervical cancer may be cured.

2. If a female patient has mid- to late-stage cervical cancer, the condition is serious, the disease range is wide, and the degree of infiltration of the malignant tumor is deep, she may not be suitable for surgical resection treatment. She needs to undergo radiotherapy, chemotherapy, traditional Chinese medicine treatment, biological targeted therapy, etc. according to her condition. After treatment, the disease may recur, and the prognosis is generally poor, and the possibility of cure is not very high.
