Caught a cold after running

Caught a cold after running

Running is a sport that many friends love, but some friends do not keep warm during or after running, and they are likely to catch a cold. If you catch a cold after running, you should first wipe off the sweat, then drink more hot water to sweat, and you will gradually get better in a few days.

You need to pay attention to hydration before and after running, because during exercise, a large amount of water will be excreted from the body in the form of sweat. If you do not pay attention to hydration, it is easy to cause dehydration in the body, resulting in electrolyte imbalance. It should be noted that you should not drink water immediately after exercise, let alone ice water, so as not to cause harm to the body.

So what are the benefits of long-term running to the body?

Keep running so that you have a strong heart and cardiovascular system. While increasing the maximum oxygen uptake, the amount of oxygen delivered to various organs of the body is greatly increased, and the working quality of various organs is naturally greatly improved. In addition, middle- and long-distance running will accelerate blood circulation, allowing the coronary arteries to have enough blood to supply the myocardium, thereby preventing various heart diseases. Through the exercise of the lower limbs, venous blood is encouraged to flow back to the heart and intravenous thrombosis is prevented.

So what should you do if you catch a cold after running and sweating?

First of all, it is recommended that you take off extra clothes before warming up. If you sweat too much, the sweat will take away your own heat when it evaporates. Taking off your clothes will prevent you from sweating too much when exercising, and it will be more convenient to exercise.

Secondly, it is recommended that you do not drink cold water after sweating during exercise. The body is in a high temperature. If you suddenly drink cold water, the conflict between cold and hot is most likely to cause a cold. It is recommended to drink more boiled water. If it doesn’t work, drinking warm water is also fine. Avoid the sudden change of temperature that shocks the body and causes a cold.

Finally, it is recommended that you do not use fans or air conditioners immediately after exercise. An environment that changes between hot and cold is particularly prone to causing colds. It is recommended to walk for a while after exercise to allow your own heat to slowly dissipate, so as to avoid being invaded by cold air and causing a cold.

Note: When you have a cold, it is recommended that you drink plenty of water and keep warm. Try to seek treatment as soon as you are sure you have a cold to prevent the cold from getting worse. Do not run when you have a cold to avoid making the cold worse.
