What are the specific causes of prostate cancer

The cause of prostate cancer has not yet been fully defined, but from the data on the incidence, there is a family tendency, which is generally believed to be related to the imbalance of the ratio of estrogen and androgen in the body. Androgen may be an important factor in promoting the growth and development of the prostate. Therefore, as men age, they need to pay special attention to the incidence of prostate cancer.

(1) Age: Age is a relatively important factor affecting prostate cancer. Most patients with prostate cancer are over 65 years old, but men after 45 years old need to pay special attention to the incidence of prostate cancer. After the age of 40, the incidence rate doubles for every ten years of male age increase. The highest risk is for men aged 80-90, increasing to 70%.

(2) Family history: Genetic factors play a significant role in the development of prostate cancer. In the case of genetic diseases, those who are sick usually refer to direct relatives. If the father has prostate cancer, then the father's son is more likely to develop prostate cancer than the average person.

(3) Race: The lowest incidence rate is among African blacks, followed by American whites and Hispanics. African Americans have the highest incidence rate of prostate cancer. Currently, the incidence rate among Asian men is lower than that among Asian men in the United States, and even lower than that among American whites. The incidence rate among Asian men in the United States is lower than that among American whites. Although the incidence rate among Asians is lower than that among European and American countries, the incidence rate of prostate cancer has been increasing year by year in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

(4) Pathological changes of abnormal cells in the prostate: Patients with high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia of the prostate have a high chance of developing prostate cancer. High-grade intraepithelial neoplasia is a precancerous lesion and is not cancer, but its presence indicates the occurrence of prostate cancer. It shows abnormal cell growth morphology under a microscope.

Therefore, as you age, it is necessary to take some prostate cancer prevention measures, such as going to the hospital for regular screening; eating more soy products; using hormone supplements with caution; strengthening physical exercise and insisting on exercising in the sun; eating more fruits such as tomatoes; and having a regular and moderate marriage life, not forcing yourself.
