Men may wish to have a cup of tea to prevent prostate cancer

Prostate cancer is a common malignant disease among middle-aged and elderly men. To prevent prostate cancer, men might as well drink a cup of tea! Recently, researchers have conducted a study on the black tea and green tea that people like to drink. The results show that the substances in these two types of tea can significantly slow down the spread of prostate cancer in the body. Although red wine and peanuts that some people like contain a lot of antioxidants, they cannot play an effective anti-cancer role in the human body.

In the study on the relationship between black tea, green tea and prostate cancer, the researchers selected 20 prostate cancer patients and asked them to drink black tea or green tea and soda 5 cups a day 5 days before the prostate cancer surgery. Experts said that the purpose of asking patients to do this is to test whether tea polyphenols can affect the growth of prostate cancer cells. Because some similar studies in medicine have found that polyphenols can cause the death of cancer cells.

After these prostate cancer patients underwent surgery, the researchers studied the prostate tumors removed from the patients and found surprising results, because the spread of cancer cells in these prostate cancer patients who drank tea before surgery showed signs of weakening, while the same situation was not found in the tumors of patients who drank soda before surgery.

The researchers also said that this is the first clinical case to directly use tobacco and alcohol to prove that tea polyphenols have an inhibitory effect on the spread and growth of prostate cancer cells. At the same time, the study also found that drinking black tea is more effective than green tea. Therefore, the results of this study confirm how powerful the effects and functions of black tea and green tea are, and further confirm the theory that these teas can also prevent prostate cancer.

At the same time, relevant scientific research also reminds us that not all polyphenols contained in plants can produce anti-cancer effects. For example, resveratrol, which exists in red wine and peanuts, is also a polyphenol, but it cannot produce the same anti-cancer effect in the human body. Therefore, experts remind us that we must choose the right food and the right method to fight and prevent cancer.
