Liver cancer is a malignant tumor of the liver. It is a common and frequently occurring surgical disease. Malignant liver tumors can be divided into two categories: primary and secondary. Primary malignant liver tumors originate from the epithelial or mesenchymal tissue of the liver. The former is called primary liver cancer, which is a highly prevalent and extremely harmful malignant tumor in my country; the latter is called sarcoma, which is relatively rare compared with primary liver cancer. Secondary or metastatic liver cancer refers to malignant tumors originating from multiple organs throughout the body that invade the liver. It is generally common in liver metastases of malignant tumors in organs such as the stomach, bile duct, pancreas, colorectum, ovary, uterus, lung, and breast. Five treatment methods for liver cancer Individualized comprehensive treatment according to different stages of liver cancer is the key to improving the efficacy; treatment methods include surgery, hepatic artery ligation, hepatic artery chemoembolization, radiofrequency, cryosurgery, laser, microwave, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Biological treatment and traditional Chinese medicine are also widely used in the treatment of liver cancer. 1. Surgical treatment Surgery is the first choice and the most effective method for treating liver cancer. Surgical methods include radical liver resection, palliative liver resection, etc. 2. Treatment of unresectable liver cancer For liver cancer that cannot be removed, treatments such as intraoperative hepatic artery ligation, hepatic artery chemoembolization, radiofrequency, cryosurgery, laser, and microwave can be used according to specific circumstances and have certain effects. Primary liver cancer is also one of the indications for liver transplantation. 3. Chemotherapy If the laparotomy reveals that the tumor cannot be removed, or as a follow-up treatment for palliative tumor resection, regional chemoembolization can be performed by placing a pump (subcutaneous buried perfusion device) in the hepatic artery and/or portal vein. For those who are estimated to be unresectable by surgery, radiological intervention can also be performed, with selective cannulation through the femoral artery to the hepatic artery, and injection of embolic agents (commonly used such as iodized oil) and anticancer drugs for chemoembolization. Some patients may therefore have the opportunity for surgical resection. 4. Radiation therapy For patients with good general condition, good liver function, no cirrhosis, no jaundice, ascites, hypersplenism and esophageal varices, relatively localized cancer, no distant metastasis, and who are not suitable for surgical resection or have recurrence after surgery, comprehensive treatment with radiation as the main method can be used. 5. Biological treatment. Commonly used ones include immune RNA, interferon, interleukin-2, thymosin, etc., which can be used in combination with chemotherapy. 6. Treatment with traditional Chinese medicine The method of syndrome differentiation and treatment, combined with attack and supplement, is often used in conjunction with other therapies to enhance the body's resistance to disease, improve overall condition and symptoms, and reduce adverse reactions to chemotherapy and radiotherapy. There are five ways to prevent liver cancer 1. Having a good attitude to deal with stress, combining work and rest, and not being overly fatigued are the first elements to prevent liver cancer. It can be seen that stress is an important cause of cancer. Chinese medicine believes that stress leads to overwork and physical weakness, which in turn causes a decline in immune function, endocrine disorders, metabolic disorders in the body, and the deposition of acidic substances in the body; stress can also lead to mental tension, causing qi stagnation and blood stasis, and internal toxic fire. 2. To prevent liver cancer, you should pay attention to not eating contaminated food, such as contaminated water, crops, poultry, fish eggs, moldy food, etc. You should eat some green organic food to prevent diseases from entering the body through the mouth. How to prevent liver cancer: Strengthen physical exercise, strengthen physical fitness, exercise more in the sun, and sweat more to excrete acidic substances in the body with sweat to avoid forming an acidic body. 3. Live a regular life. People with irregular living habits, such as singing karaoke all night, playing mahjong, and staying out all night, will increase the acidification of the body and make it easy to get cancer. If you want to better prevent liver cancer, you must give up these bad habits and develop good living habits to maintain a weak alkaline body and keep various cancer diseases away from you. 4. How to prevent liver cancer: Do not eat too much salty and spicy food, and do not eat overheated, too cold, expired or spoiled food; the elderly and weak or those with a genetic gene for certain diseases should eat some anti-cancer foods and alkaline foods with high alkaline content as appropriate, and maintain a good mental state. 5. Prevention of liver cancer: Develop good living habits, quit smoking and limit alcohol consumption. The World Health Organization predicts that if people stop smoking, the number of cancers in the world will be reduced by 1/3 in 5 years. Secondly, do not drink excessively. Tobacco and alcohol are extremely acidic substances. People who smoke and drink for a long time are very likely to develop an acidic constitution. |
