How to treat advanced lung cancer? Methods for treating advanced lung cancer

At present, lung cancer is one of the diseases with the highest incidence in my country. There are many factors causing lung cancer, and the clinical symptoms are not very obvious. Once the symptoms are obvious, it is often in the late stage of lung cancer. So what are the treatments for late stage lung cancer? Let me introduce them to you below:

Surgical treatment of advanced lung cancer: Although surgery can remove lung lesions, due to the poor physical condition and low immunity of patients with advanced lung cancer, surgery often causes great damage to their vitality and a sharp decline in their quality of life. If they do not cooperate with systemic treatment, the good times often do not last long, leading to tumor recurrence or metastasis, especially for small cell lung cancer.

Radiotherapy for advanced lung cancer: Radiotherapy can alleviate the symptoms of 70% of patients with advanced lung cancer. External radiotherapy with different doses and fractions can relieve local symptoms of primary or metastatic lesions. However, patients with advanced lung cancer often die hastily due to the strong side effects and complications of radiotherapy. While enduring the torture of cancer, they also have to endure the side effects of radiotherapy and other treatments, such as chest pain, nausea, vomiting, hair loss, fatigue, etc., and their quality of life is extremely poor.

Chemotherapy for advanced lung cancer: Small cell lung cancer progresses rapidly, has a prominent tendency to spread throughout the body, and is highly sensitive to chemotherapy. The 5-year survival rate has increased from 1% to more than 10%, so chemotherapy has become a major treatment for small cell lung cancer. Excessive aggressive treatment not only fails to prolong survival, but also reduces the patient's quality of life, aggravates the symptoms of advanced lung cancer patients, and makes them suffer.

Biological treatment of advanced lung cancer: Tumor biological treatment is the fourth treatment mode after surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. It is expected to turn tumors into a controllable chronic disease. Tumor biological treatment (autologous cell immunotherapy) combined with surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy can effectively improve the effect of cancer treatment.
