What is the TNM staging of liver cancer? How to treat liver cancer best?

Liver cancer is the biggest health killer in the world today. Liver cancer is devastating, and once it appears, the tumor cells can metastasize to the body. In life, people often talk about cancer discoloration. At the current medical level, cancer is indeed a relatively difficult disease to treat. The reason is that there are no signs of early cancer, and 80% of patients are already in the late stage. It is necessary to treat according to the stage of liver cancer.

When cancer is formed in the early stage, it usually does not give you any abnormal symptoms and pain. Even if the symptoms are not obvious, they may be a cold. Early symptoms will not attract the attention of patients and can be easily confused with other diseases. The time from early to late stage of cancer is very short, only 2 months to 2 years. Usually, when many patients feel or begin to notice, it is already in the late stage or close to the late stage.

The staging of cancer directly affects the cancer treatment and prognosis. In order to facilitate patients to understand liver cancer, we will introduce the latest version of the TNM staging standard for liver cancer as follows: The TNM staging of liver cancer is based on the severity and development stage of the disease. T in TNM stands for tumor, N stands for lymph nodes in the tumor-bearing organ, and M stands for the distance of metastasis, and then enters different stages in these three directions: T1: Indicates that the tumor diameter is less than 2cm, and there is no blood or lymph metastasis.

T2: Indicates that the tumor is less than 2 cm in diameter, but the tumor has invaded nearby blood vessels; or there are two cancer masses with a diameter less than 2 cm, but no blood vessel invasion; the tumor is 2 cm or more in diameter, but has not invaded blood vessels.

T3: Indicates a tumor with a diameter of more than 2 cm that has invaded blood vessels. Or there are several small tumors with a diameter of less than 2 cm that have already invaded blood vessels, or there are one or more tumors larger than 2 cm.

T4: Refers to the fact that the tumor is present in both livers or the tumor invades the portal vein of the liver.

N: N0 means no lymph node metastasis, N1 means metastasis

M: M0 means that no remote transmission has occurred, and M1 means that there is remote transmission. The TNM stage is mainly divided into I, II, IIIa, IIIb, IIIc and IV. According to the size of the tumor, vascular invasion, lymph node invasion and the presence or absence of metastasis, the severity of the tumor is reflected from low to high: stage I: T1, N0, M0; stage II: T2, N0, M0; stage IIIa: T3, N0, M0 stage IIIb: T4, N0, M0 stage IV: any T, any N, M1. The diet of patients with advanced liver cancer should be based on good digestion, enhance the patient's appetite, do not eat too hard food, greasy, spicy food, pay attention to light diet, appetite and noise reduction, dredge the stomach as the main purpose, appropriate vitamin supplements, because vitamins can enhance the body's immunity and help fight cancer.
