What are the symptoms if you have lung cancer?

If you often have symptoms such as chest pain, hoarseness, coughing up blood, or shoulder pain, finger numbness, etc., you need to be screened as soon as possible to rule out the possibility of lung cancer.

Lung cancer is the most common malignant tumor in my country. According to statistics, about 600,000 people die of lung cancer in my country every year. In particular, the number of lung cancer cases has increased nearly fivefold in the past 30 years. Since the early symptoms of lung cancer are highly hidden, about 70% of non-small cell lung cancer patients are often diagnosed in the local advanced stage or metastasis.

Many people, especially white-collar workers who work at a fast pace, cannot quit smoking because they think that smoking can refresh their mind and that they will not have "inspiration" if they do not smoke. However, experts point out that smoking is like "whipping a tired horse" and it not only cannot refresh the mind, but will also drain the mind if it is used for a long time.

Studies have found that the incidence of lung cancer is closely related to smoking, air pollution, occupation, diet, and genetics. Smoking, especially cigarette smoking, is the primary factor in the progressive increase in lung cancer mortality. Compared with non-smokers, smokers have an average risk of lung cancer that is 9 to 10 times higher, and heavy smokers have a risk that is at least 10 to 25 times higher. The younger the age at which people start smoking, the longer they smoke, and the more they smoke, the higher the incidence and mortality of lung cancer.

Some people develop the bad habit of smoking because of boring work. After retirement, they are prone to symptoms of lung cancer. Therefore, for elderly people who used to smoke, it is very important to have regular physical examinations, especially of the lungs, so that early lung cancer can be cured.
