However, CT scans cannot confirm nasopharyngeal carcinoma. At the same time, 0T magnetic resonance imaging is also recommended for patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Nasopharyngeal endoscopic biopsy is still required for pathological diagnosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Imaging examinations generally involve enhanced CT scans of the nasopharynx.
