If you feel that your urine is a little turbid, generally speaking this only happens occasionally, so don't worry too much. If this turbidity occurs frequently, you should be alert. Normal urine should be light yellow and transparent. If you drink less water on a normal basis, it may cause turbid urine. Of course, if there is a urinary tract infection, then this turbidity will be more serious. Let's take a look at this aspect. The urine is a bit cloudy Normal urine is light yellow and transparent. The color of urine may change with the increase or decrease of urine volume. After sweating or drinking, the urine may become temporarily thicker. However, when the urine becomes turbid, it may be a pathological manifestation. A common cause of cloudy urine is high alkalinity of urine, which causes phosphate crystals to precipitate in the urine and make the urine cloudy. Patients with pyelonephritis may have turbid urine, and severe urine infection may also cause turbid urine. Rare chyluria is caused by obstruction of lymphatic vessels by parasitic filarial worms. Causes (I) Pyelonephritis Infectious inflammation of the renal pelvis and calyceal mucosa, renal tubules, and renal interstitium caused by direct invasion of various pathogenic microorganisms. In recent years, it has been found that pathogen antigens exist in the renal scar tissue of some patients with pyelonephritis, indicating that immune renal tissue damage may also be one of the causes of inflammation in the onset of pyelonephritis. 1. Pathogenic bacteria The most common pathogenic bacteria causing pyelonephritis is Escherichia coli, followed by Escherichia coli, Proteus, and Streptococcus faecalis. 2. Transmission route (1) Ascending infection: This route is the most common. When the body's resistance is reduced and the urethral mucosa is slightly damaged, bacteria can easily invade the bladder and kidneys and cause infection. The female urethra is much shorter and wider than the male urethra. The urethral opening of baby girls is often contaminated by feces, which can easily cause disease. Bacteria that ascend to the kidneys first invade the renal pelvic mucosa, causing inflammation, and then ascend through the renal calyces, papillae, and renal tubules to invade the renal parenchyma. (2) Hematogenous infection: Bacteria invade the bloodstream from lesions in the body and reach the kidneys, causing inflammation. In hematogenous infection, the bacteria first reach the renal cortex, where they form numerous small abscesses, and then spread downward along the renal tubules to the renal papilla and renal pelvis. (3) Lymphatic tract infection. (4) Direct infection: When there is trauma or infection of organs adjacent to the kidney, bacteria can directly invade the kidney and cause inflammation. (ii) Prostatitis When suffering from chronic prostatitis, white urine is likely to occur due to inflammatory stimulation. (III) Others Excessive exercise or overeating of meat and vegetables leads to excessive metabolism of oxalate and phosphate, which produces salt crystals in the urine. These accumulate in the bladder and are excreted during urination, resulting in white urine. |
