If you can't find the white part of the scallion, put your nostrils close to the steam from boiled water at home and inhale deeply a few times. Rubbing the coccyx to eliminate nasal congestion is an unexpected folk remedy. First, the nasal congestion was relieved because of the adrenaline. The coccyx is the place where the yang meridians in traditional Chinese medicine, especially the Du meridian, run. Rubbing it can help raise the yang energy. It takes some effort to rub your tailbone to warm it up, which meets the two conditions mentioned above that prompt the body to release adrenaline: exercise and holding your breath. You can rub the coccyx before going to bed every day: wear underwear, sit upright on the bed, half-clench your fists, and use the back of your hands to push and rub the coccyx from top to bottom 50 times; then use the middle and ring fingers of both hands to rub up and down from the sacrum to the coccyx about 30 times; finally, gently rub with your palms 20 times again until the skin feels slightly warm. You should massage the coccyx according to your ability, not too much force or rubbing the skin. If constipation is severe, go to the hospital for treatment first to avoid delaying the disease.

According to relevant survey data, about 28% to 50% of the elderly people over 60 years old often suffer from constipation. The elderly are more likely to suffer from constipation due to their aging body and slow intestinal motility. Diseases such as anal fissures and hemorrhoids caused by constipation make the elderly feel even more painful. Therefore, in their daily lives, the elderly should eat more crude fiber foods, drink more water, strengthen their exercise, and develop the habit of regular bowel movements every day. In addition, some simple massages such as rubbing the coccyx can also promote bowel movements and improve constipation. Rubbing the coccyx can stimulate the nerves around the anus, promote local blood circulation, prevent and treat rectal prolapse and recurrence of hemorrhoids, and also has a certain effect on habitual constipation in the elderly.
