There are three ways to self-check for liver cancer. Seven causes are the real culprits of liver cancer

Liver cancer is a malignant tumor of the liver. It is a common and frequently occurring surgical disease. Malignant liver tumors can be divided into two categories: primary and secondary. Primary malignant liver tumors originate from the epithelial or mesenchymal tissue of the liver. The former is called primary liver cancer, which is a highly prevalent and extremely harmful malignant tumor in my country; the latter is called sarcoma, which is relatively rare compared with primary liver cancer. Secondary or metastatic liver cancer refers to malignant tumors originating from multiple organs throughout the body that invade the liver. It is generally common in liver metastases of malignant tumors in organs such as the stomach, bile duct, pancreas, colorectum, ovary, uterus, lung, and breast.

Beware of liver cancer when eating raw fish

Guangzhou people especially like to eat sashimi, and they drink strong liquor when eating sashimi. The original intention is to kill bacteria, but it is more likely to cause cirrhosis and eventually develop into liver tumors.

Due to the high incidence of hepatitis B and bad eating habits, the incidence of liver cancer in Guangzhou is as high as 30-40 per 100,000, which is one of the highest incidence areas in the country. Experts have called on Guangdong residents to change their bad eating habits such as eating raw fish and drinking strong liquor, which lead to the high incidence of liver cancer.

Experts say Guangzhou people like to eat raw fish and drink strong alcohol while eating it. The original intention is to kill bacteria, but it is more likely to cause liver cirrhosis and eventually develop into liver tumors. "Most raw fish are river and pond fish, which are not cooked and carry many liver disease parasites. Adding strong alcohol, this eating habit will put a greater burden on the liver." Experts say that this way of eating is simply "adding fuel to the fire", especially for hepatitis patients.

In our lives, adverse factors continue to trouble us, and many reasons can lead to the occurrence of liver cancer. Through continuous research by medical personnel, it is found that water pollution, viral hepatitis, chemicals, and gene mutations are the main factors leading to liver cancer.

1. Water pollution:

Severe pollution of drinking water is one of the important causes of liver cancer, especially polluted ditch water, followed by river water, and well water is the lowest. Therefore, in villages without tap water facilities, drinking well water should be encouraged.

2. Viral hepatitis:

It is mainly caused by hepatitis B and C virus infection, especially hepatitis B and hepatitis B virus carriers, whose incidence of primary liver cancer is 2 to 100 times higher than that of normal people. In areas with a high incidence of liver cancer, about 20% of people may be hepatitis B or hepatitis B virus carriers.

3. Aflatoxin AFT:

Aflatoxin B is the most important carcinogen. It is suitable for growing and reproducing in high temperature and high humidity climates, especially in summer, when moldy food, grains, and feed are most likely to be contaminated by Aspergillus flavus and produce aflatoxin. Long-term consumption of food containing this toxin can induce liver cancer.

4. Chemical carcinogens:

The chemical substances that can cause liver cancer are mainly N-nitroso compounds, such as nitrosamines and nitrosamides, etc. In addition, pesticides, alcohol, safrole, etc. can also induce liver cancer.

5. Gene mutation:

Others believe that mutagens and viruses in the environment stimulate the activation of liver cell division response pathways, causing point mutations and gene translocations in cells, which are possible factors that accelerate the proliferation of cancer cells.

6. Immune status:

Some people believe that the plasma of liver cancer patients contains a blocking factor that can inhibit cellular immunity and protect liver cancer cells from being killed by immune cells. Studies have shown that alpha-fetoprotein AFp can inhibit the phagocytosis of lymphocytes and macrophages.

7. Complex factors:

Excess nutrition of large amounts of nutrients or nutritional deficiencies such as vitamin A, B1 deficiency, hemochromatosis, parasitic infection and heredity are also risk factors for liver cancer.

There are three ways to self-check for liver cancer

1. Long-term consumption of moldy food, or food containing nitrite, or lack of trace elements is one of the main causes of liver cancer. Therefore, the way to self-diagnose liver cancer is to understand daily eating habits and digestive symptoms. Moldy food contains aflatoxin, which is a strong carcinogen. After inducing liver cancer, the patient's appetite decreases, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, etc.

2. Most liver cancer patients are over 40 years old, because cancer factors need a process of accumulation, which can last for decades. The high incidence of liver cancer is between 50 and 60 years old. Patients often experience symptoms of pain in the liver area or pain in the right upper abdomen, which manifests as continuous or intermittent pain. After middle age, the thymus in the human body gradually shrinks, and the immune function of tumor cells related to thymus endocrine begins to weaken, so cancer takes the opportunity to germinate.

3. Patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis and hepatitis C should be alert to the occurrence of liver cancer. Liver cancer often develops on the basis of hepatitis B cirrhosis. Therefore, this group of people are also at high risk of liver cancer and should have regular physical examinations. Therefore, patients with hepatitis C and hepatitis B, as well as viral hepatitis carriers, should raise their awareness of preventing liver cancer and go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible if they have jaundice, ascites, itchy skin, or physical fatigue and weight loss.
