Is garlic juice effective in treating rhinitis?

Many people use garlic juice to treat rhinitis, and it will have obvious effects in the short term. So, can garlic juice be used to treat rhinitis? Does this treatment have any side effects? Rhinitis is a chronic disease basically caused by long-term bad habits. Some people are born with it. In addition to using garlic juice to treat rhinitis, there are many other folk remedies for treating rhinitis.

1. Garlic can treat rhinitis

Having rhinitis is really a very uncomfortable thing. It feels like having a cold all year round, and the treatment is a long process. Garlic juice can treat rhinitis.

2. Using garlic to treat rhinitis

1. Mash a clove of garlic into a fine paste.

2. Wrap the bean curd with clean cloth. It is best to choose one with better material to avoid infection.

3. Squeeze out the garlic juice and drop two drops into each nostril (it will be very painful at the time). Then press the nose flap a few times with your hands to make the garlic juice stick to each nostril.

Note: Mild cases can be cured in one dose, while severe cases can be cured in two doses (Garlic is highly irritating, so please start with a small amount; it is contraindicated for those who are allergic to garlic).

3. Folk remedies for treating rhinitis

1. Scallion frying and smoking method

Method: Chop a small handful of scallions or three or four shallots into a soup, then inhale the hot steam through your nose, or boil vinegar and inhale the vinegar vapor, both of which have better therapeutic effects. This is most effective for acute rhinitis, and there will be significant improvement within a week of treatment. I use this as an auxiliary treatment whenever I have a cold.

2. Blow the loofah vine powder into the nasal cavity

Method: Find several meters of old loofah vines, dry them, cut them into thin sections, and then bake them on tiles until they are half-charred (be sure not to let them become burnt). Then, grind them into fine powder on a panel and put them into a bottle for later use.

When using, clean the mucus in the nasal cavity, wipe the nasal cavity with a clean cotton ball, then use a thin plastic tube (such as the small tube used for drinking yogurt), ask your family to help blow the loofah vine powder into the nasal cavity, and then plug the nostrils with a dry cotton ball. This method is especially suitable for sinusitis.

Note: It is best to apply it before going to bed at night, and it will be cured after several days of continuous application.

3. Drop garlic juice into the nostrils

Method: Mash a clove of garlic, wrap it in a clean bean curd cloth, squeeze out the garlic juice and drip two drops into each nostril, then press the nose fan a few times with your hands so that the nostrils can be covered with the garlic juice. It will take one time for mild cases and two times for severe cases.

What we should pay attention to here is that garlic is quite irritating, so you must not put too much. You must put it in moderation. If you feel you can handle it, you can add a little bit, but don't put too much at once.

4. Apply Sophora japonica honey to the nasal cavity

Method: When washing your face in the morning and evening every day, use your little finger dipped in running tap water to clean your nostrils to remove the scabs and secretions in the nasal cavity. After fully exposing the nasal mucosa, use a cotton swab or finger dipped in commercially available locust flower honey and apply it evenly to the affected area of the nasal cavity. If you persist for a month or two, there will be certain therapeutic effects. Especially suitable for atrophic rhinitis.

Note: This method is effective in relieving nasal inflammation, but it is only a temporary solution and cannot cure sinusitis. In addition, since honey now contains many chemical ingredients, direct application to the nasal cavity may cause side effects, so patients need to use it with caution.

5. Nasal drops of sesame oil

Method: Sesame oil is ordinary edible sesame oil. Apply about five drops into the nose three to five times a day.

Note: Do not use the drops when the nasal congestion is severe. You can change your body position and wait until the nose is unblocked before using the drops. Blow your nose clean before using the drops.
