How to treat postpartum cervical cancer? What are the hazards of postpartum cervical cancer

Postpartum cervical cancer treatment, the occurrence of cervical cancer makes many women lose their past happiness, because cervical cancer is very harmful, the disease will seriously affect the patient's health, very serious will make women lose their fertility, but some women found cervical cancer after childbirth, but due to the special period, patients want to know how to treat it. So here is how to treat postpartum cervical cancer.

Patients with postpartum cervical cancer may not necessarily have cervical cancer at this time. Patients may have cervical cancer during pregnancy, but there was no cervical cancer screening before pregnancy, and obstetricians lacked awareness of cervical disease screening, so the disease was not discovered in time. Therefore, we recommend that women do cervical cytology before pregnancy and cervical biopsy when necessary. Colposcopy and cervical biopsy are safe and reliable.

In fact, the treatment of postpartum cervical cancer patients mainly adopts commonly used treatment methods. At present, the treatment methods of cervical cancer include surgery and radiotherapy.

Surgical treatment involves the removal of the uterus, part of the vagina and parauterine tissue, and the removal of bilateral pelvic lymph nodes. Ovaries without lesions may be considered for preservation. It is generally used for early cervical cancer. Although surgical treatment has a short cycle and quick results, it is easy to cause recurrence and urinary dysfunction complications due to its large scope, so it is best combined with other treatments.

Radiotherapy can be used for cervical cancer at any time, for patients who cannot undergo surgery due to personal reasons such as age, poor heart function, etc. However, radiotherapy can easily lead to complications such as radiation rectal and cystitis, and needs to be combined with other treatments and a good rest to recover as soon as possible.

It is particularly important to remind that if the first sexual intercourse is before the age of 18 and the HPV test is positive, it should attract close attention from high-risk groups. In order to effectively prevent cervical cancer, it is best for women to start screening for cervical cancer at the age of 21.
