Is thyroid follicular tumor benign or malignant? How to treat thyroid follicular tumor

The appearance of tumors has a great impact on patients, so timely treatment is necessary. The appearance of thyroid follicular tumors brings great pressure and influence to patients' lives, and may even be life-threatening. Therefore, active treatment is necessary. So, is thyroid follicular tumor benign or malignant?

Thyroid nodules can be divided into benign and malignant, but the nature of thyroid nodules is difficult to determine clinically. Even if a biopsy is performed, it is sometimes difficult to clearly identify. Generally speaking, the incidence of this disease in women is higher than that in men. Some surgical examples have proved that 80% of single nodules are benign tumors, 20% are malignant tumors, and the incidence of malignant tumors in multiple nodules is low. Generally, benign thyroid nodules are mostly follicular adenomas, including simple type, fetal type, and eosinophilic type, as well as papillary adenomas and atypical adenomas. There are also benign tumors from the thyroid stroma, including hemangiomas, fibromas, teratomas, etc. and thyroid cysts. These are mostly benign.

As for malignant tumors of thyroid nodules, most of them are papillary adenocarcinoma, follicular adenocarcinoma, medullary carcinoma, undifferentiated carcinoma, and malignant tumors of thyroid stroma, including lymphoma, vascular tumor, fibrous tumor, squamous cell carcinoma, etc. In addition, there is thyroid mobile cancer. It is generally difficult to distinguish between benign adenomas and malignant adenomas. Only by observing for a long time whether they move can a diagnosis be made. It is recommended that patients with thyroid nodules should pay attention to observation, seek medical treatment in time, and diagnose and treat them in time.

Thyroid tumors are a disease that may become malignant and develop into cancer. After canceration, a series of symptoms will generally appear, such as swollen lymph nodes in the neck, hoarseness, or difficulty breathing. Therefore, in order to prevent the disease from worsening, you should go to the hospital for removal and treatment as soon as the disease occurs.
